It's official, the Storm Cup has been moved to LOTA. Please make an account and read the "LOTA & Storm" thread for more information. It will take us a few days get everything in order, so please bare with us. We will inform you if and when we make any updates. I've just been offered a wonderful opportunity... LOTA, or League of the America's, has offered me a chance to bring the Storm Cup in under the LOTA banner. This would allow us to use all their RLM software and make running the series much easier. Plus they have stats (debateable), extra servers, race results, hidden threads for passwords, and a wonderful protest system. The only thing we would have to do is push the schedule back 1 week to get everything set up. What do you guys think?

Go check out www.lfs-lota.net and sign up. Have a look around, familiarize yourself with the rules, and get used to the interface... Unless we have some major objections, I don't see how we could turn this down. And yes, this is open to all nations!

I have very good news... K. Burns ([FG] Consigliere) has not only offered us a high end server to run the series on, he is the creator of the insim. He will run all the insim software during the race. Thanks Kevin for stepping up and helping us out with this series.

If it was for me, I'd be ready by the normal race day but I'm not sure everyone will.

In some ways I would agree with you but since this is on the oval, I'm content on running the schedule as is. We've already had one race on this combo so setup work shouldn't be much of an issue. The only reason I would feel the need to push it back is if any of the admins have any issues... Once again this is a poll so if you feel your not ready, let us know.

Please keep in mind that I do not speak for the entire admining force. I'm more than willing to help out with the forum related stuff but we will still need at least 1 person in the server strictly as an admin. If the issue arises and we can't find someone to do so by round 5, we will push the events back regardless of the poll.

Secondly, if we do not have someone fimilar with the insim then we will remove it from the server and conutinue on without it. Once again, I will need someone with admin rights to be around for this to be a possibility.

Should we reschedule the series because of our unfortunate round 4 incident, or should we continue the series as is?

Everyone that is participating in this series, please refer back to this thread from time to time because this season will not close... if I have to run it myself. I would suspect since we've had some technical issues that the schedule might be slightly changed.

EDIT: We have started the recovery process. If you would please review round 5's pre-race thread, there is some information there that everyone will be interested in. Also I need to talk to someone who has admin rights to your servers. If you would PM me your msn e-mail, unless we already have each other added. If that's the case PM ASAP. Lastly, at this point we're unsure of how much help we will actually need to run the races effectively. Once we get a little closer to the race date I will have a clearer answer. As of right now, if we can get a Storm admin to run the saftey car and admin messages, we should be good to go, but then again, another set of eyes never hurt anyone.

I personally didn't find the admining from today too bad. I find it needs to be a little more strict in some respects, but today's event did not have any huge mistakes... If you guy ever need a recommendation, help, or an assistant admins, let me know.
