Drifting and editing if you asked me. I guess there are only so many different things you can do. I myself struggle to find new effects and ideas that are up to my level of editing. At the end of the day, we all have our own editing style, and after a while people start to notice it.
I didn't think anyone would notice but I tried to make it very similar to one another. It's been about year since we did that video, just after we won the MoE Champ. Once we won the iTCC Champ things just felt right so I finished this, which is really the reason I made the FO8 Evolution video in the first place. I wanted them to be similar because all the graphics are new. It's kinda a cool to look them side by side... the old vs the new.
I'm able to run mid to low 56's in the FXR, which is almost a 10 second gain. Considering the BF1 WR is 53, I'd say that is more doable than the FXR beating the BF1... At least on this track.
Might have to try this one too. :P I suck in the BF1 so I could be wrong.
Edit: I think I was wrong. I had so much downforce and speed that it actually keeps breaking the rear suspension. Crazy...
LFSers really have no idea what oval racing is about if they haven't tried another oval sim. Until there are more tracks, LFS oval racing is just dead and skill-less. The only car in LFS that would make for a good oval race is the FZ50 and XRT, IMO.
Quite frankly, LFS is too far behind iRacing for them to catch up. Therefore, I'll just stick to iRacing for my oval fix... We really like to run in these special events though.
That, and 90% of the people improperly set up their wheel turn compensation.
It's a decent system, but I would rather it take the degrees of the wheel, like iRacing does. The LFS way is hit or miss. There is no best setting, so it's kinda unrealistic.
Just to go ahead and respond to the 123 incident...
The 123 wasn't at fault, but I never expected him to run the 3 and 1/4 line while we were 3 wide. I seldom run as high as he did when I'm 3 wide on the outside... Also note that Peterman and myself turn into the corner the same time, Peterman actually a little earlier. Kasemeir actually comes up the track as me and Peterman go down... Essentially, we can all use that tactic. It's the same thing drifters try to do when they mess up their line, they push you so wide it's ether loose the car in front, or make contact. Kinda the same thing here, but if I would have noticed he was that far off my normal line I would have lost the draft and hung back. After pit stops we ended up behind Kasemeir anyways...
After looking at the replay, I would like to ask the admins review their means of review. The car under me was in the 3rd lane, and we were 4 wide... I couldn't just run into the car on the outside. Even the broadcasters didn't point out that the initial contact was with me...
I even had 3 guys in vent telling me that the guy stayed too high and that I wouldn't be getting a penalty... Low and behold, I got one.
