That car is a bit older, well, quite a lot actually, and the test is too different to be compared to those Chinese deathtraps.

Didn't see lag, only bad drivers.

But good movie, apart from the double mirrors.

Quote from keriz :Wow, dude, it was a suggestion for gods sake, get off his back.

He didn't ask for flaming, he wanted to know if they were a good idea or not.

Oh, sorry! I forgot to add smileys to soften the blow.

WTF?! Honestly. WTF!

We don't even have hardcore mode, and we never will have, because there is only going to be one mode and you need to live with that. Having dummed down mode would generate more tension than having something more close to realism (damage etc.) because there would be the two types of racing servers.

Besides, what would be the point having lets say 79% realistic game, and then make a 32% version? That's like having beer with water. LFS is intended to be a racing simulation, with only one single mode. Sure, you can call me a elitistic realism nazi, but we are what we are because we know it should be part of the game and would change the racing to something much more interesting.

And WTF!?

Quote from JTbo :
Delivery costs have gone up ~2.3% from september, eventually this affects all prices so workers do need again more money to get shelter and food, which again gets prices up. If this continues soon we are in situation where you can't pay rent and get warm meal once a day with 2000e/month income.

Did you know that inflation was 2,6% in September and 2,7% in October? So relatively, delivery costs have went down, not up because it's below inflation rate. (source: http://www.stat.fi/til/khi/200 ... 0_2007-11-14_tie_001.html)

Inflation is normal in the economic growth. That's how it is at the moment, when we hit the peak and start falling down (normal) there should be deflation, and things should come cheaper.

But the thing is, giving people huge raises above inflation rate, will decrease the value of money, and they need another raise sooner. It's a vicious circle you can't go into. And once the economy stops growing pays are not cut with the deflation rate, like they were raised during inflation, because people wont allow it. Which would only be fair in exchange, and would make it easier and faster to move back to economic growth.

I hope I didn't confuse my tiny head trying to be too smart.

Quote from jimimonet :I would mount the base at an angle so that the wheel is near verticle.

Yes, I understand that. But what I meant, was that the wheel (the part you put your hands on) is upside down when it's centered, the lower spoke facing up and it will feel weird. Of course, it's solved if you take the wheel off and rotate it for 180 degrees.

But if you mount it upside down the wheel ergonomy is all upside down, and that can't be any good for driving.

Plus, it will look like you belong to some unholy Blackwood forest guru worshiping cult hanging your wheel upside down like that. Bob presented it very well. Looks wrong, so wrong especially with the shifter.

Quote from the_angry_angel :
I wonder what would happen if medical staff used this tactic.

Well, how about that, we almost had a nurse strike starting Tuesday morning, but it was called off today when the parties agreed that more money should be given and inflation increased. Whopping 28% raise in salaries, well, I guess it has been underpaid work for what they do. But it's going to mean trouble locally.

Everyone is about to go on a strike over here at the moment. Bastards.

Quote from hrtburnout :You mean Russian?

No, I know Russian characters when I seem them. I might not have them installed or something though, but it's not like I lost anything awesome judging by the videos. :P

I couldn't get the demo to work, the installer gave some sort of error in gibberish symbols.

Mostly have been trying to wrap the design around the body, and it's kinda hard because i need to do it in few places.

Well, you've understood what skinning is about then. /sensei talk

For the design, I would make the back of the car blue with same kind of red line along the border.

Haven't been Karting in RL since i got my Bike, so the fact i'm now used to blastnig away at 50 MPH probably makes Karting "tamer" and i'd feel safer trying harder.

Your moped doesn't do 50 mph, oh well, downhill perhaps, but that hardly counts blasting around at 50 does it.

On the subject, I don't have an idea. I've only done 15 minutes in a cart, but it unbelievable fun though.

Toyota has had the same livery in F1 all the time haven't they? :P
Quote from spookthehamster :I thought the whole reason they had the split livery was because they wanted two different looking cars, one 555 and one Lucky Strike, but the FIA wouldn't allow that. Having the split was fine.

That's what I thought too. Can't find any reference though.

Quote from xaotik :I am beginning to detect a pattern here.

Haha. He is like a Finn though, says nothing and there is no expressions of feeling, but is fast!

And my "they" referred to media which referred to people in red overalls, with horses splatted all over them.

Quote from tristancliffe :Never heard about the TC being a problem for Kimi. It's always been about general setup and working with the tyres properly. Turning down the TC is a bit of an easy fix really, so I cannot believe that was the cause at all.

They said Kimi likes a very heavily oversteering car, and getting the car to his liking and learning it takes some time to learn from both.
