Well, I do think having infinite amount of time to get that lucky lap is not fair. Pre-qualifying should be just pre-qualifying, it takes more skill and a bit of tactics to get that one fast lap in just few tries when you need it.
But that's how it is now, so in the mean time I'll take my time because I has it.
Oh yes, and what's the logic with identical times with that timing system. Yesterday I got identical time with M.Vukicevic and I was put ahead of him even though he had done his lap before me. Is it now fixed because I'm behind him?
Can't believe some people actually bought that car list being real. Someone has just copy pasted the list of every car, I mean it has about 50 different GAZs, Ladas and so many almost identical cars. Has 9 MRT variations for example. It's so ridiculous I can't believe there are idiots thinking that would be the list Sony had wanted if it would be even possible to have that many cars.
Too bad for the KIA fans too, people who like beige have never been so much disappointed.
Yes, you've been teasing people with your uber-tweak for ages now!
Ooh, interesting stuff I must say. For some reason I was the most impressed about the battery position having it's own value, but it does make sense. Is there a value for battery weight too? Truck batteries mmmm...Too bad you can't make 12 litre turbocharged diesel engines to work properly.
I wish there would be a special mod-license for the talented people like you to buy, well not you of course, because you don't have the time, but for people who have it. Slap on a hefty price, let's say 200 pounds and most kiddies stay away messing around making Civics.
How much is the car modified from whatever LFS model you used as a starting point? Suspension, wheel base, track width, weight distribution? How close is it to a stock car if put shortly.
I like the Xbox approach to the motion tracking over the Playstation because they've just copied their concept from Nintendo. It feels they've actually gone more ambitious and come up with something new at Microsoft. Only flaw is they lack buttons, but nothing stops them adding separate button controllers though, but I guess the whole idea is the full body control. Nothing stops the games using both the normal controller and the camera tracking system either.
Not saying I don't think this motion craze as a bit off a gimmick, I don't see much wrong with the 360 controller as it's one of the best there has ever been, it just fits. But I guess the 'casual gamers', which seems to be one of the main themes with pink and girly stuff at this years E3, all have trouble with controllers because they got too many moving parts.
Nintendo hit a gold vain, now the rest follow.
And the name is still probably just a project codename I think.
Plus the drive seems awfully smooth in the cockpit, but the steering moving like it should would just look ridiculous. Think about how fast and sharply it would move lock to lock when using the pad. It's like LFS with keyboard.
Well considering he is a co-founder and working at DC-shoes I doubt the sponsorship deal has been that hard to land (source).
I like the videos as cool cinematic pieces, they are awesome as movies and adverts. But I wouldn't rate him that high on the god-like driver list. I mean, takes skill but as risk of not walking away the accident is small, it takes no real courage.
I watched the press conference live yesterday (or was it today, well anyway) and I was a bit stunned, it did seem to work quite well when they showed it at work. It's basically a camera that will detect your movement in three dimensions, I don't know how, but it seemed to work.
I don't know if I like this movement involvement stuff, but it's sure interesting.
I think he means GT5 screenshots, nobody would be that stupid not to look at the links on the opening post would they? Those Forza 3 shots are definitely real considering NFS Shit showed even more detailed in-game action on the 360, so it's not like that is not possible. A welcomed face lift I think, Forza 2 had awful jagged edges on the cars.
But back to consocefagwars. I think GT5 needs to deliver something amazing to justify such a long development time and wait. As investor I'd be furious if it didn't top Forza 3 with miles and sell billions, cure cancer and feed the hungry children of the world. Turn 10 have released two hit racing games by the end of this year, while we don't even know if GT5 will have damage.
Hah, you've used to have them cheap then. Sounds about right what we have always paid. And don't worry, to actually play Arma II you probably need some sort of uber computer not on the market yet anyway, so while you build the extra room for it, the price will drop.
Ooh, thought there was no other than MS wheels for the 360. Well, there shouldn't be a reason they could not make G25 work on it, it's just a bunch of buttons and servos like any other controller. But I guess MS and Logitech don't do well.
Yeah, can't wait. I'm a bit worried they've might have moved too much to direction of the NFS crowd, but the message on the page tries to convince the playability should still be there. I hope it still is, let's wait and see.
GT5 has to really deliver to justify the development time and effort. Although, don't have a PS3 so, don't care much.
e: What, a new wheel? Well **** you MS, I already got a G25.
I got the car go so fast I couldn't see it. I dunno what that minus gear is, but add some slide with it and the car goes...fast. You might want to work on brakes next, add skid marks and you got a rally game!
Yes, I read it. But I ignored it because if it's subliminal it shoudln't matter at all in any way or the other. I still think that if someone needs to focus on their gears so much they can't focus on the traffic, they should not drive.
We all know learning to drive a car can be a bit difficult, first you learn the clutch then you notice there are other people on the road. But as you said, it comes subliminal. Driving a car with manual doesn't automatically make you drive with one hand. I always keep both on the wheel, and considering how little time gear changes actually take, I'm not worried that I needed to swerve an accident when my hand is on the knob. Statistically speaking that is.
I consider the huge A-pillars in modern cars more of a risk for pedestrians than gear-boxes, one lady with a shopping trolley completely disappeared behind one yesterday.
Personally I don't like automatics because they don't have engine braking.
Yes, the feeling trough your knob is an old clishé. It's more to do with being in control what your car does, and not letting the car deside, it's silly I know but it's about control not feeling. I agree that steering gives you more feel, especially if it's not equipped with a bad power steering system.
I think you feel you are being assaulted because you drive an automatic. Don't worry, you can still be a sensible driver on the road or a cock like the next guy, people on the internets hardly know anything.
