Can't disagree more to be honest. If someone needs to think about gears so much it compromises their driving, they shouldn't be doing it at all.
I can understand what you mean with automatic freeing you to concentrate on other things, but is that really the case? You interact less with the car, the machine does a lot more work for you, I think it's easier to get distracted from the actual driving. Of course, I must admit the only manual I've driven was over 20 year old Toyota and it kept me awake having no power steering, or being a modern day air-cushion vehicle.
And why on earth someone driving along would have their other hand all the time on the gear knob, and why can't people with automatic do that? There is no reason why would anyone do that because they have certain gear box. It's a common sin of drivers to get lazy after 2 weeks getting their license and starting to drive with just one hand, but they are bunch of lazy cocks and I hope they wear out their synchros.
Some shots from a local rally sprint event. Nikon D60, first two are with Sigma APO DG 70-300 (plus ghetto plastic bag rain protector) and the last two with the kit Nikon 18-55.
One of the few shots not blocked by a huge tree or a post. Also a lovely car.
The place sucked, and this was the the most luckiest shot ever through the trees and bushes.
They really have their bolts loose at Valve, in a lovely silly way though. I like it.
Update won't be that much fun though as I suck being both spy or a sniper. Hate both, they do burn nicely though, and usually follow orders from Natasha...mmm lovely Natasha.
A started noob myself, but I'd say that the canal picture needs some added contrast to get rid of that grayish haze which is not that pleasant to look at.
It does look awesome and I hope my machine can run it. I really doubt they have done the graphics that well though.
Having not so many bugs at release would also be ace, maybe not bug free, but you know, playable. But I guess the trend in PC gaming is to have as many bugs you can fit just to **** up with people who actually buy the damn thing to support good games.
Also, it would be nice if the enemy didn't see you trough the bushes. Or also give the player the magic of see-trough-bush-o-vision. I mean, hell, not even thermal camera sees trough bushes that well.
I don't get how this 40 million cap will be any good for the smaller teams, or get new teams in to the sport? Because if you already have huge facilities and your own test track you can use them every day if you just run the team withing the budget isn't that right? Well, I guess that 10 million bribe and free plain tickets are for that then.
Ban on fueling sounds good, but has a risk making everything really boring. Making more efficient engines sound good, but didn't they just ban engine development some time ago, some consistency FIA apes please. Also, which will save more money, transporting some refueling gear or manufactures developing new more efficient engines which will cost millions and millions.
Ban on tire warmers will get action, although it could have been better to get rid of the stupid and very non-economical tire changing rule at the same time. Makes no sense what so ever to talk about cost cutting, being economical and ecological when you enforce tire chances.
Motorcross Madness 2 from 2000, by Microsoft owns this nex-gen crap.
I mean, they had all the bits to make it awesome. Dirt, mud, motorbikes more mud, trees the lot. But they desided it was important to make a massive free roam area which seems to be full of flatness.
1insane, Motorcross Madness, this doesn't come near the fun factor of those games. Looks like one of those full throttle all the time type of games.
Considering they made a hard call not releasing a bugged patch, yes, I think they care.
People don't seem to understand how double pointed is the knife of communication for the devs.
If they don't tell anything, people moan there is no communication.
If they tell something and it doesn't happen just like that, people moan they were cheated.
If they respond to moaning in either case with communication they give up for the moaners and give a message that loud complaining achieves something.
Only way out of this infected atmosphere withing community now is either to say something or release the patch. As I can't see the first one happening, well, because what I said, and as they have kept their stand so far we got to wait for the latter option.
It wasn't hard to guess. But I've done, and redone the math, and can't come up with any other answer than it's dead cheap to hold F1 races according to Bernie!
