Thats very much untrue. Tyres apart, if you saw the race you would know Alonso lost 19 seconds in pits and he finished 6 seconds behind Schumacher. Do the math and find for yourself it it was tyres or pitcrew what killed his race.
I dont like Alonso myself, even being spanish, but it sucks big time what his team is doing to him, theyre clearly making his life impossible only because he's going to McLaren next season. Heck, he is still their driver, he is the #1 and he's driving for Renault, are they dumb or what?
EDIT: Sounded a bit too harsh when I first wrote it...
I was watching the race live when she crashed, it looked really really bad, the kind of crash you can expect the worse. I was so glad she ended the day up and walking.
Back on topic, the only thing I know is that I happened to find the 'older news' link in the main site, and in the pre-S2 era they indeed used to post progress reports and a lot of stuff regarding what they were cooking.
In last OLFSL race, I was leading in lap 18 and the guy in 2nd was creeping too close. I pushed harder than I should and almost crashed, only to find out he had pitted in lap 10 of 30, which obviously meant he was on a 2-pits strategy, while I was on one.
It sure will be nice to have them on the site, but when I really need to know them is when I am in the middle of a hell of a battle and Im wondering if the guy in front is gonna need to pit soon, so I can avoid a passing move that would slow me down.
At DTM series we have to make two mandatory pitstops. It would be nice if the number of times you've gone into pits could be shown beside your name in the standings, just like they do when broadcasting real DTM races.
By the looks of it you were lagging bad, that would explain your 3 disconnects. Its also possible that you wrecked someone else without even knowing and thats why they banned you.
Anyway, as in previous posts, its their server and they can do whatever they want with it. Just find another combo, there are much better than AS3/GTR
I agree 100% with the two above posts. At first I thought I was missing how it worked, because why in hell would you want to turn your head if the screen is right in front of you??
Maybe with VR googles, until now its a waste of money.
I dont really see it that difficult to have a proper 24 hour race when we get prototypes in S2 final, as long as we have teams with people covering different timezones.
