actually you never do see the crumbs , what Tristan does in relation to " putting the crumbs in " , as he admits , lasts under a second , and he has already digested a large portion of said cake. If he was putting crumbs in with his mouth only just being filled , then that could definately be suspicious , but he has already consumed at least 50% of the jaffa's before he even puts his hand up.
What competition are you watching ?? of course size makes a massive difference in this sport.
So your saying a full jaffa cake crumpled into crumbs is the same as ( in Tristans case ) a minute couple of crumbs that takes under a second for him to empty from his palm into his mouth. His hand goes up and then straight back down.
The crumbs that frequented this area , Tristan ( thankfully ) did not gather up to be consumed , the ones on the desk yes , but lap no. And considering he had already attempted a 1st trial with 5 JCs , there is absolutely no proof that the crumbs did not originate from the first attempt , and again like said in my above paragraph , in neither attempt is there noticably large fragments of Jaffa , enough to be considered for disqualification. I think its crazy to think 5 or 6 jaffa's can be eaten at once without spilling crumbs. and I'll refer you to rule 4 to note that the mouth doesnt have to be closed , and so hardly noticable crumbs are an everyday part of this sport.
I am still quite unsure what you mean by all of that ( very long ) sentance , but I have not actually said anywhere I will be competing at all , and so i'm definately able to judge fairly.
But I fully advise we should allow TNIT to decide.
Well Tristan doesnt know it yet , but I just turned into his lawyer ...
Let court proceed ...
This simply is not a factor in either of Tristans attempts.
EDIT : Upon further information brought to my attention , in still 1:09 Tristan even goes as far as to provide a side-on view in front of the camera for viewers to check his mcvities are indeed within the boundaries of the regulations.
Tristan completly covered his back on this one as the video " jaffa_cake_challenge.wmv " , as uploaded by himself , around stills 0:21 and around 2:10 , clearly shows his JC's being prepared in front of the camera , straight from the pack , without much " tampering " at all.
Also , the crumbs that accumulate during Tristans JCC attempt , as shown in still 4:00 , are clearly noted as extremely small , literally atoms of Jaffa Cake substance , and thus it has to be taken into consideration when attempting the JCC twice in a row , that the beforementioned cake crumbs can be found on the desk , or in tristans later case ... in his lap ( nice going buddy ).
To round off , as shown again in evidence-still 4:01 of the footage , no FOB goes within even a few cm of the competitors mouth. The crumbs are placed in with a sharp flick of the wrist aimed into the mouth.
I think alot of testing would have to be completed by the competitor to get ( what must be the WR) of 8 standard , u.k-sized Jaffa's into their mouth at once , and complete the challenge by scoffing them.
You would have to take your mouth right to the edge of its ability and probably even make one or two setup changes ( like dislocate your jaw ).
For sure ALOT of mental strength , ability and capacity has to be completly missing , in order to attempt it in the first place. This is really " a person with a massive mouth " 's sport.
Tristan's attempt(s) really takes the veiwer through the details of what is required to compete in the - what I guess can only be described as - "demanding" LFS Jaffa Cake Challengd. He managed to send across a sense of involvement to the viewer so that , just by watching I felt I was doing something to help him gain that extra jaffa cake totalling at 6 , after his first trial attempt.
MBM didnt do too bad I thought , but I realise it is quite a fair point that the period of time between entry and consumption could throw rule 5 into the spotlight indeed.
Thinking about it ...
Why the hell is this topic being taken more seriously than most LFS-related topics I find in this forum lolol , clearly people have their priorities IN ORDER
even if it is the same / similar tracks each time , it should always be different as the racing is so close with that number of cars that it will always be different.
You've just reminded me of the Minotaur from when I was younger there were casset tapes I listened to about far off adventures of this group of people , and there was a maze one , and it had a Minotaur in it lolol
thanks to Mike ( is it o.k if I call you that m8 ? ) ( a.k.a Nobo ) , the SIMFIA seem to have taken well to the idea.
So it looks like the ball is rolling folks , obviously I am aiming not to drag the building of this league out any longer than I have to , but I want it done well and profesional looking , so , please bare with for now , and please keep commenting !
Just like real GP2 , the admin / people who run the Championship wont have much to say about what drivers are racing. Every team that wants to participate in the League , must clearly have one or two reasons for doing so , for experience in their first racing season ( could be there first major League they are entering ) , or , to win the thing ( the Championship ).
For both these reasons , its in the teams best interest to field there best drivers from that team , we will be fine with any drivers as long as they drive fair and safely for themselves and others , they dont have to be fast at all , just fair , its up to the teams to realise what drivers they have that are fast , and what drivers in there team arent best suited to LFS GP2 Championship just yet. ( It sounds good to call it the LFS GP2 Championship ).
If the League I proposed did start up , this could be a big step forward in realism of single seat racing in LFS. Hopefully it would encourage a small number of teams to open dedicated single seat drives each season , with a small number of there drivers. Folks interested in single seat racing competitavely could start in some FOX League like OWRL ( or a Formula Renault League that I mentioned a few months back that kinda got stepped on early ( not much feedback )). Then they could progress up after a season or two to GP2 , and finally SIMFIA F1 Championship.
This would provide great experience and quality of single seat racing drivers in LFS , making for some great racing in the future.

EDIT : Wow 2 replies in the time it took me to write this up.
THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR THEIR THOUGHTS AND SUPPORT , IT MOTIVATES ME TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT
I would really like to explore the possibility of the aforementioned GP2 League , I have sought out some really great racing circuits for the GP2 car ( FO8 ) and I think even with 16 or so drivers of varying skill levels it would still be a big challenge that would call for not just racing and speed , but also professionalism and sense ( some parts of certain tracks really requires you to almost stop and crawl round tight corners , just to ensure you dont tag a car point-blank in front of you , even if it means losing a place ( which I feel is close racing at its best , when positions are changing at slow parts of the track as well as the straights )).
Obviously Josh and Krutch seem to have other angles at which to encourage drivers to race in an FO8 League , but I am going to continuing building my thoughts on a GP2 type Championship.
Well in GP2 the teams field the drivers , and the teams are there to compete and win , so I am confident they wont put out any really bad racers.
So drivers may have single seat experience and be looking for a good advanced SS league , like FO8 , but having to race through the FOX could be off-putting for some.
Obviously it would be checked over the first practice and Qualy sessions that all drivers at least know the car a little bit , and have a general " race mind ".

E: This championship would only be open to Teams anyway , so that would perhaps help keep some drivers , its not like there millions of them , just 18 or so people who meet up for half a day every week or whatever time scale it is , I wouldnt have thought that too hard.
To be honest I think IF it ever happened , and a GP2 Championship for LFS was started , I believe the drivers who enter may find it different and better than other leagues , and the close racing would perhaps entice / encourage them to come back and race again , and make more of an effort to turn up and want to fight for points.
I have been looking up some challenging circuits and been trying a few laps round each , the FO8 truly is an unbelievably great car , the racing seems so close , especially if you get the veiw correct.
I will think about possible ways to keep it going , and like I said , the time scale would be decided by the drivers , so if half a year is too long for them , I would do a poll to choose the best day , time and period for the races.
Please keep me up to date on your FO8 league though if it comes around.
GP2 Teams are professional , but are ( unfortunately ) not very well known in the public eye , and although I am sure there will be a few more who follow it closely on these forums ... "dams" , "po fms international" , "bcn competicion" and "dpr" will mean nothing to a good majority of the LFS community I beleive.
I think 8 LFS teams , being a mix of good , known teams , and lessor , unknown or new-start teams would make some form of team promising , I say 8 , because if this sort of league ever got started up , I would be tempted to enter a 9th team under the name of Arden International ( RedBull associates ) or if not that name , then perhaps RedBull Juniors hehe
But yes , a closely matched representation of the real GP2 Championship , using the FO8 , 9 teams , 18 drivers , approx. 11 challenging and realistic circuits , lasting just under half a year ( 1 race every 2 weeks ) , but I think its best to let the teams decide the time frame , if it ever got to that stage of choosing a time frame
A league for folk looking for something extra from the usual FOX Leagues , but also not wanting to race the BF1 / do any F1 type stuff just yet.
I have just been getting back to the FO8 and I forgot what an amazing car it is to drive ( i dunno what zoom setting I have , but I swear it feels to me a far more realistic veiw than I have seen in other SingleSeaters in LFS ) , coupled with a few of the great LFS tracks from S1 and S2 , and I think you have a fun League with potential for competition on all levels ; backmarkers , mid-pack and a few up front.
I would love the idea of it being quite team based , and a limited number competing , such as 9 daring LFS teams , 18 drivers , and the FO8 ... a almost forgotten car , lost between the FOX and BF1.
