My preferred date/time would be tuesday evenings at say 8 o'clock. What you have to understand though is people will often have things spring up out of the blue in the week so you will have to devise a system that cater's for this assumption.
I think the figure you suggested of 104% is cutting down the field too much tbh. I think rules and regulations really need to be thought through, then as a league it needs to be advertised around the LFS community professionally and try to attract some of the best racers avaliable.
Yes really looking forward to it now, there seems to be no real indication of how close the racing is going to be, but brands hatch will certainly allow it if it's close. Anyone going?
Just need to check something guys. Are most of you going down the friday night beforehand or is it the Saturday your stopping? I'm trying my hardest to get to the event although things aren't looking to great atm. I don't want to miss this
I use the digital speedo, and use it for checking speeds through certain corners. I have learn't to keep one eye on my lines and one on my speedo and rev counter. I think it makes sense to do this more often when in qualification or hotlapping. When in a race I do it less often.
I wish I could say it was making me quick though, but I can't!
I'd suggest mid-week josh. With a qualification where the drivers have to come within a percentage time. Also maybe a short sprint-race followed by a longer race.
I think with the introduction of the FOX this isn't a surprise. However I think some of the road cars having driven the formulas become a lot harder to drive. I think it's worth putting in the effort however
Remember the OWRL run's on Saturday late afternoons/early evening. I would race after however. Or even look at setting it alternate weeks to this event.
Firefox or Opera are the way forward. Windows will finally suffer for producing something that many people don't trust. They may have been able to get away with producing un-safe products when they didn't have any competition but notnow. I'm sure in ten years time the percentage of users using IE will be very low.
I like the idea of having the developers only including their own made-up tracks in LFS.
I don't really see the need for real life tracks when you have AS National, Blackwood, South City etc etc. Plenty too keep you going in my opinion. How many people can say they have mastered every track?
A very sad day for motorsport. My feelings go out for everyone involved. I hope that Martin is given support through this dreadful time. The sheer desperation he must be feeling right now, it must be awful!
After the GT's I'd say the FOX is one of the most popular. Not many drivers don't like it. Easier to drive than the FO8 meaning it's easier for people to learn racing basics and principles.
I'd like to see how many non-oval laps the FO8 has completed. Not many I presume.
