Rand Paul stood up at around 11AM EST and continues to this time. I beleive he's in his 7th hour now . I beleive that he has others supporting him on the Senate from each party (but I've only seen that mentioned on one source)
Edit: I have confirmed that he has support from other Senators. Only 1 of which is a Democrat.
Nice My GF is in 17th (She's a JJ fan ) and my mom is in 6th
Fueled By Pizza is 9th, LLM is 13th, Mike Busch Racing is 18th, Falcon is in 23rd along with the Soviet Russians
Did I miss any of us? I know who a few of the others are, but that's not important to you guys
We're all chasing howlingwolf1 though with 77 points and the Phoenix win. Rappa, you have 72 (-5) I have 66 (-11).. and back to 23rd it's only down to 46 points (-31 points).
I got 3rd and 21st in the first two races respectivly. That means I should have 40 at Daytona and 22 at Phoenix for a total of 62. 1st and 34th should give you 47 and 9 for a total of 56 . The league ponts standings havn't been updated yet so it's just going off of race #1 right now.
TV Ratings for Phoenix were up 6% and was the highest for a post 500 race since 2008. Not impressive, but anything not a loss is an improvement. I thought that the race was above average and much better than the 2012 fall race there (the first on this new surface and configuration)
Those of you who watched the stream, what did you think of the manual cameras? I know the running order appearing like in the Race Director was a big loss, but visually how was the stream?
Kid, you didn't do bad for your first attempt . I was impressed.
Maybe a little bit of exageration, but I could see it on the downforce tracks. There's better camera positions anyways I think.. like on the middle dash of the car
Danica rolls of the grid in 40th in the first downforce track race of the 2013 season
Every time I watch Mark qualify on a downforce track I just light up. He goes so much slower than his fellow competitors entering the corners, but as soon as he reaches the 2/3 mark of the corner the tracker slides straight to the left (the front). It just makes me think that the other drivers just aren't as smart as the old guy . He's much better in cars with less power though. Look at his record in the Nationwide series. (49 wins (2nd most all time) in 236 races with 112 top 5's and 152 top 10's)
Or the truck series: 7 wins in 25 races with 20 top 10's and 23 running at finish & lead lap finishes
This marks his 55th carrer pole in 855 starts (40 victories, 271 top 5's, 449 top 10's, 541 Lead Lap finishes (Most of any driver) , & Running at finish in 736)
These numbers aren't as impressive as Jimmie Johnson or Jeff Gordon, but you have to remember that it was much more difficult to finish on the lead lap in the 80's and 90's than what it is now. That, and Mark didn't start his career in the best equipment by any means.
Oh, and how could I forget his International Race of Champions record of 5 championships with an average race finish of 3.8 . He won 13 of the 47 IROC races that he entered (usually 12 drivers). These races were in supposedly equal cars, and it was a really exicitng series with World of Outlaws, NHRA, IndyCar and Champ Car drivers racing along with Sprint Cup, Nationwide, and Truck Series drivers selected based upon their performance

Well, taking it out automatically I don't like. If the waiter or waitress doesn't deserve it I'd like to have the option to give less or given none rather than 15% no matter what
When we went to the race in Dover we stayed on the beach and there was a Pizza Hut. We waited forver to be served, and then we waited 30 min to have our order taken after we were taken to our seat. We didn't give a tip that day. If it was automatically taken out we would have been ticked...
That's the only reason why I don't like it being taken out automatically. Otherwise it wouldn't be an issue.
Nobody will be headed home on Friday this week. Only 43 teams will attempt to qualify (to be expected with the new car).
One of my favorite tracks personally for it's semi-banked nature and unique shape . I'm excited to see the increased speeds and see how the Gen-6 car races at a handling race track. Look for the racing to be more competitive with the reduced adjustment capabilites of the Gen-6 car, the reduced weight, and the increased downforce
Also, how will Patrick fair at the non-drafting tracks? (I'm assuming much worse than at Daytona)
