i have just been looking on ebay and spotted two wheels one is "logitech driving force" which is blue and the other is the "driving force pro" which is black. whats the difference other than the colour and amount of buttons?

can i add a wheel that is for the playstation 2 via an adaptor?

Quote from Jakg :what do you mean? i highly doubt anyone will by that wheel (its gameport after all), so if you want it you can just bid £5 (why am i saying this?!?), but Vista DOES have problems with most things, it's a beta OS after all

im unsure if my pc has a gameport come to think of it i have never used it can you take a picture of the plug. how does the pedal join to the wheel through another plug into the back of the wheel?

i have seen some others on ebay and they are around £30 posted if you want to remove it from ebay i will pay you £5 for the said items and your postal price and your ebay fees for listing said item. it must be better than this logitech thing that has no FF and i can give it to the missus to use on her pc when she is online

i have just noticed since i installed indows vista that i have no vibrations through my wheel anymore so force feedback wont work either will it. but its ok puttign xp onto my other hard drive will cure that. i would of given you around £25 posted for that wheel lol

it looks quite good really. ^^^

i have just put a bit of rubber hose and some sponge in the middle of my brake pedal to make it squish. feels funny to the hand but im gonna go and give it a try. all i need now is a clutch pedal and a ff wheel.
sorting my driving experience :D

i have a very poor logitech formula force steering wheel it only vibrates sad isnt it.

what i would like to do is have a wheel that has force feedback and also add a clutch pedal and a brake pedal that has a pressure sensor.

so in theory all i would need to do is get another cheap set of pedals preferebly usb for ease of fitment as i see no other way of adding one, which are the same as my set then cut one in half and stick it to the other set so i have three pedals inline. ok might sound dodgy but isnt everyones

then where would i go about getting a pressure sensor and how on earth would i wire it up and is it electrical? or can i just get a hard bit of rubber that can only be pushed so far or further if i push harder and set the brakes accordingly via lfs settings. please give me input. thats what my machine is crying for any way

Quote from Jakg :New pedals here - i am gonna eBay my old Sidewinder, but does anyone want my old Momo pedals? could be used as a clutch somehow, if you could bypass the need for a wheel...

Or should i just eBay them?

did you put that up on ebay? i am going to bne letting my better half use my logitech formula force and i was looking for something the had force feedback. i would obviously need the pedals and any leads etc. email me [email protected] even if you dont have them so i know to keep looking.

Quote from DeKo :great board, know a few people who have it. Just for the record though, PCI-e 1x isnt for Graphics cards

tbh you should pick up a Geforce 6600GT, can find them for about 50 quid if you look hard enough, and they can easily run LFS with everything on (AA+AF)

pci-e1 is something that i dont even have a clue what it does lol now pci-e x16 hmmm i have bene looking into that recently. i posted on another forum about a graphics card and i am buying a radeon X550 for £15 256mb will do i think untill i decide to put my hands a bit deeper into my pockets.

i can use either agp pci-e 1x or pci-e 16x any card that fits this slot and is reasonable will do.

link for motherboard, see below. its a great board for the money it cost.

amd athlon xp 64 bit 3700+ san diego processor does the job just nicely but the input lag is bad. with all of my computer going to the graphics because the 16mb card is doing j@ck sh!t other than sending a few colours to the monitor.

not a problem really but i do need a better graphics card

last week i used a 64mb graphics card i was able to drift and get around 1.30 reversed blackwood, good enough for me. this is ranging from around 40-50fps my graphics car broke and had to fit my old 16mb graphics card now i get around 30fps on a good day but i am struggling to get 1.35 on the same track and i cant drift at all. the steering does turn around half a second later and when your sliding and then the car straightens up again i have no chance in holding the car in a straight line.

is your power supply unit up to the job of powering the graphics card processor and what ever you have in the usb socket/s?
