It's not the server siunce you're getting a reply when pinging it. It could be your windows firewalll setting or any other firewall you have installed. It could be your router playing up for some reason, perhaps resetting it will fix things.
You load a raf file from a quicker driver and one of your own. Then you compare the driving lines, braking points, steering and throttle application and see where you're losing time and doing something wrong.
1. Make a new Brazil Basic Material.
2. Chnage Diffuse to black
3. Change Transparency to a light grey (180,180,180)
4. Chnage index of refraction top 1.0
5. Under reflect map choose Falloff and then change the type to Fresnel in the dropdown box.
6. Change the Specular level to 200 and glossiness to 70.
7. Done.
You're pretty safe to just copy the whole LFS folder across, unless you're having problems and want a fresh install.
If you're going with a fresh install you should copy the cfg.txt file and you're script, settings, skins and skins_x folder across to keep your settings. If you have custom engine sounds you'll also need the engine and sound folders. If you installed any custom textures you ight want to copy your dds folder across as well.
I'd just use your old LFS folder on the new pc :thmub:
