Thanks srdsprinter. Cooling is a Gemini II, maybe soonish watercooling, although I might just waste my money on a Q9450 instead of watercooling.

4ghz isn't stable, I run it at 3.2 for everyday use and it is rock solid prime stable for over 12 hours. What cooler are they using to get it stable on air and what revision and VID is their chip? I tihnk my motherboard is holding me back from going stable. Still experimenting with BIOS settings.

Anyone care to share their max scene for the FBM? I'm using 3dsmax9 and can't use the cmx importer myself. If sharing the scene isn't possible then just a saved max file with the car imported would be great.

Take your pc home, activate then return it to uni

It's not an install file, you need to extract all the files to a folder of your choice. I recommend using WinRAR to do this. Once WinRAR is installed, right click the file and open with WinRAR.

Totally missed the point of renders. There's a screenshot section for a reason.

For an older card like the 9800 I wouldn't bother with the new drivers. Some people are reporting problems with them anyway.

Perhaps the layouts are for the blackwood carpark or another track?

No, Logitech need to get off their ass and make some proper drivers.

I had stuttering in windows itself also. When playing back video files it would stutter and skip frames every now and then. When playing music it would also stutter. This was with XP Sp2 fully updated. Now running Vista without any problems so far. Much smoother as well then the previous XP install fully patched up. My guess is it's the damn windows updates that have something to do with it.

That's perfectly fine. Scawen himself has said family members can use the same licence, infact I think you're even allowed to unlock LFS on 2 computers in the same household. Ofcourse only one will be allowed online at a time.

You can however use the premade scenes by Ian H and Morrow to render using Max9. Stuff using the cmx importer and doing it all yourself..

Usually around 200-270 lock, they also use the clutch pedal as a brake.

In your game controller settings it should be 105%, in LFS you can use any value you like. I use about 20%.

Most of the aussie servers are passworded and private so that the laggy euros don't come in and start crashing :P If you need the password to any of them let me know and I'll show you where to find them.
