Quote from logitekg25 :can i use the second to last picture as a deesktop background

of course, you don't have to ask
Quote from Tomba(FIN) :Again very nice pics Don. But what is with the bottle flying in the second pic?

some guys used a roadside barrel as a table for their beer, but that driver went too wide and hit the barrel, hence the flying beer

hehe, not needed - i meet him on nearly every rally anyway... another one coming on this saturday. I bought a Canon speedlite + some radio triggers, so maybe i'm going to experiment a little.

its just about one guy from the czech rally community, who used to annoy me nearly every day for last few months with questions like "how did you do ..." etc. and in the end he basically copied my website. OK, he is young and idiot, but the thing that made me angry is, that he said he doesn't know me and never ever saw my website - what a completete lie, i've got tons of icq logs with him. and since i wasn' the only one who had problems with him, i put up a littne warning for others.

There's really no need to bring a tripod as any bump in the road will be a huge risk for the camera to drop.
If you happen to have(or borrow)a VR lens you can use that.
Use "long" shutter speeds (1/20s should be good) and try to stay at about 20kmh.
Check the road conditions first, you want the tarmac and the driver to be as smooth as possible.

yeah, the road condition is really important - and a bit problematic on czech roads i already have some experience with this

the road wasn't closed, but its road where goes only few cars per day...
i wanted to do that, but there was not enough time plus i didnt take the tripod with me, but anyway, im planning to do that on one of my next photoshoots

im gonna clone my reflection out on the photo(s) they choose for the calendar, didn't want to bother doing it on all pics just for web

Quote from morpha :You don't happen to have some of the accident that led to whatever that is on the last pic being stuck in the ditch?

nope, it happened before we arrived, but i guess his car understeered on the gravel in the exit from the hairpin
