I dont know if it has been posted, as I'm not clicking through each burnout link, but there is an epic one on youtube from some aussie burnout championship.. as the car starts the burnout it sets the surrounding "pen" on fire. Will try and find it.

Went and looked at this today... what an engine!!! 9k redline is awesome.




Bits that put me off,

The mileage which was 80k miles, it had full service history, but from 28k miles was serviced by any old garage, so has probably never had the valve clearances, etc done. And the fact it had a go pro mount still between the seats! has probably had a hard life..

My standard shifter is a bit to sloppy for me and the throw is to long. I also don't want a cheap short shifter kit...
Getting some good amount of monies at the end of this year so really thinking of the CAE shifter.

CAE + Sequential box.... I Would get what ever money permits.

no modifications due, granted I've looked at coilovers, wheels, remaps, etc. This is going to be saved for my project car!

First VW problem, Bonnet(Hood) microswitch stopped working. This meant the car thought the bonnet was open, not allowing wipers when stationary, or the washers.

New microswitch £23 from VW. and 30mins later.

Road Compliance, Fuel Economy, Comfort, Gadgets, Loudness.. There was quite a few reasons.

I mean, if I had to start work at 5am.. we live in a tiny private cul-de-sac, starting a non silenced sr20 and letting it run at cold idle was beyond a joke. I had to keep parking it away from the house on a main road.

I am not sure if I will miss the rwd.. I never took it to a drift day, and driving it fast during B-Road blasts was hard work due to our road conditions. This seems to soak up the bumps/cracks in road and inspire confiedence, rather than have you looking for the hedge you would probably go though in the s14a.

The S14a looked more badass, but 19mpg to car/rally events cost ££ and I was unable to put my mountain bike on the roof. These were the two main points.

It has all the features, auto lights, auto wipers, cruise control, etc.. Tidy paintwork, full VW history, sat nav, and the best bit.. 17" monzas, rather than the awful 18" ones!
