My car seems to have a problem.

I can't put the car into first, third or fifth gear (all along the top row if that makes sense).

Done some googling and I'm not that much wiser, anyone else had similar problems with Focus' or maybe other fords or maybe in other cars.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Oddly the light has actually turned off, whether I should be worried about this I am not sure.

You can get a cheap scanner for about £40. That'll provide codes.

However just to have it scanned local Ford garage wants £40, other garage wants £30.

I thought you guys ought to know, how much should an OBD/diagnostics scan at a garage cost?

I think demo physics are odd because it brakes and steers for you. It's all a bit wierd. but it's fun othewise.

Fifth Gear is like old format topgear. It even had half the old presenter.

I used to enjoy it a fair bit.

Just tried out the speedo, you're right it's about 5mph difference.

How accurate is the digital speedo?

Quote from Bawbag :Awesome looking car flippy, just out of interest, do you know how to change the trip meter to read the rev counter, or the speedo? (Amongst other things)

I only found this out at the weekend on my mates 2002 focus, but it's worked on any other reasonably new car i've tried it on, just wondering if this isn't really well known or i'm just so far behind the times.

I have a 2002 focus, me want in.

Just done some reading, hold trip reset as you start the car up, digital speedo fo sho.

Just had a go, ****ing awesome.

In fairness it is a bit silly and is rather pedantic. But it is true that listening to a compressed song isn't as nice as listening to a richer dynamic track.

GnR's Chinese Democracy was good because the clarity is excellent, they've not ****ed about with it.

And from the small amounts of The Beatles' remastered stuff it all sounds so clear and crisp, it's truly excellent.

Quote from Bawbag :Another confession, it's red, looks a bit girly Though, they have 70bhp as standard but can be remapped to gain about another 30bhp (Or by using those tuning boxes) so i'll be looking into that soon.

Couldn't that increase fuel consumption, making it a pointless buy for the better fuel consumption

Quote from BlueFlame :well it seems that websites statistics are extremely screwed up because it thinks Eddie Irvine is Irish lol

He's Northern Irish.

But that should mean he's put down as British

Ranks and perks add a sense of achievement, it's something to work towards, a target.

Without it the game would get boring quite fast as there's nothing to work towards.

Call of Duty doesn't need full realism, it's just a slick game with basic mechanics that works very well.

CoD4 is probably the slickest shooter out there. There's no other current gen shooter like it.

Quote from danthebangerboy :That is precisely what i lost my license for back in 2002, except i was using burger king trays instead of blocks.

You can lose your licence for that?

My car failed its MOT the other day.

Wasn't major, needed a new part for the suspension link, which only cost £12 and 10 minutes to fit. Also needed new wiper rubber for the front.

Fitted them yesterday to get the partial retest today and they say they can't do it. It'll only take them 10 minutes to do. Bastards.

I need the car for monday as well, as I'm meant to be going to the zoo, but I don't think it's gonna happen now
