Probably right. I thought I remembered it having a cockpit view. My apologies for Juiced, too. I did a google search and saw a cockpit pic and assumed it was from that game.

While I generally agree with you, I think there are exceptions. Case in point: 2 wheels vs. 4 wheels. Schumacher, for example, is fairly quick on a bike, but not world-class like he was in a car. Rossi seems fairly quick with both, though, and impressed a lot of people last time he tested with Ferrari F1.
It depends which car you're talking about. Slicks in LFS are far more sensitive to setup and subsequent overheating, which makes running hotlap setups on a race server impractical. The road tires are less sensitive, so hotlap setups work in actual racing. They may still suffer from suboptimal wear in longer races, though.
Anyway, I was also referring to any non-aliens like the OP being unable to match the WR.
You can go to LFSWorld.net and download world record replays for any car and track combo you want. Just keep in mind that it's usually unrealistic to match those times on a race server.
Back around 2006-2007 when I was active in the LFS IRC channel, I used to dream about being on IRC and had the same effect. I dreamed there was a really interesting discussion or something and I'd wonder what it was about when I woke up.
I have a recurring dream where I'm in a corner on my race bike leaned way over and the front just washes out and I hit the ground. I get that weird falling feeling every time.
No one is going to pay nearly that much for used hardware, though, and you'll get more for the parts individually than if you sold the computer as a complete system.
I'd say so, at least once my senses became desensitized to the assault on them, and I broke myself of the habit of just running headlong into every corner, restarting and trying again until I didn't crash anymore. I was pretty darn slow initially, and it still took me a few years to build my pace, but I had that foundation of the basics. I eventually became a pretty decent motorbike racer, running about 1 second off the top experts at my home track. And they probably had more power than me too.
Physical fitness was always my weakness, though. I always got tired very quickly. I laughed when someone once asked me to be on their endurance team for a 4HR race.
Used PC's are essentially worthless. Definitely a buyer's market, because there aren't really any buyers. You'd be lucky to get 100 Euros for the whole system.
You're going to get the worst piece of crap radioshack headphones for $10 USD that won't sound any better than your phone. Decent headphones start at around 8-10 times that and go up from there.
It's still a hell of a lot cheaper than speakers, and I actually prefer the sound of headphones.
My guess is you've never heard a decent pair of headphones.
He may have tweaked his graphics driver settings for minimum quality/max performance, so it looks like crap but it's fast. I generally have mine set for maximum quality. I don't know how that might affect CPU performance, though.
I complained about this score inflation years ago on the first page of this thread.
