You don't buy cars or buy the game, you pay for time to use the service and for access to the cars. once you're subscription runs out, you have no access to cars or tracks, but your stats are not deleted.
F1 2010 Virgin vs RL Ferrari video i made. Lap isn't neat, but I didnt practice much. only 2 seconds off of vettle's RL pb isnt too bad i guess. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6l7PmXGpSUQ
Show us a replay of one of your laps, or tell us what kind of lap times you are putting down. The AI seem to be a lot more competitive on some tracks, as i think was mentioned in this thread, but You should definitely be able to win at Sakir. Melbourne is tougher though.
yeah, it is not intuitive to sim racers. I tried countersteering, and that fails 8/10 times, tried feather ing throttle, tried gas, all fail. what works in recovering slides is slamming on the brakes. One time i did Drift a corner but it was a fluke. the rear is always firmly planted, or it is violently trying to go past the front tires. funnier is iam running either 50/50 or 51/49 brake bias.
I just did 1st race over on expert w/ no assists. only qualified 8th this time, but I finished 1st since I didn't spin out caught a few slides. Virgin ftw.
I am impressed with the AI. the handling is a arcadey, but still fun. EXCEPT that on the limit, at low speeds (corner apex and exit) I cant feel the tires losing grip till it is pretty much too late. I havent been able to powerslide through corners like i can in other open wheel sims (rfactor, lfs, ferrari virtual academy, etc) it is grip grip grip, then 90-360 degree spin. This is with traction control off, no aids, on expert difficulty.
The AI is fun to fight with, though they back off a bit to easily at times. The car acts retarded when pitting. and the guy with the lollipop is super cautious when letting you come out of the pits. Considering this uses the same engine as DiRT 2, i was expecting traction on the limit to be a bit more fun to play with. someone else pointed out that the cars feel like they have open differentials, and that is a good way to describe it.
yeah, that is a bad sign. the only game I've ever heard anyone recommend using some deadzone in was gt5 prologue w/ the porsche wheel. I've yet to try gt5p myself, so i dont even know if that is neccessary. I wonder why he doesnt just set it on the wheel instead of ingame. maybe he doesn't know he can.
Duke nuken is actually probably going to be released lol. new gameplay and an actual demo was available a few days ago at an event. What if Duke Nukem Forever comes out before LFS
