As Jakg said, there are demo racers that put alot of code / time in for this game.
Best way to help the LFS/S2 cause is viral marketing. If your into forums other than this one (heaven forbid ) put a link to LFS in your signature. Make the LFS url your name on MSN etc.
My signature on other sites, says; "The Worlds Most Realistic Driving Simulator" with a link to a really good youtube vid, and the main site.
I don't really do this hobby anymore but here are some old ones of mine, that being said I'm just sharing to add to the thread....I don't need C&C on any of these. They are all very old and I could probably find a 1000+ things wrong with each of them...lol
I think my heart rate is close to full blast if I'm inside and like one row back. I think my fear comes from not wanting to be "that guy" who takes out the whole field in turn one.....so I tend to loose a fair bit of ground in the first two turns until things spread out a bit.
The stock voice in pitspotter is not very soothing, this may help get the heart rate up......I need the voice of Cate Blanchett wispering "on your left" that would calm me down...lol
LMAO.... Maybe he's the first human clone?, Perhaps papa bush's sperm stoped swimming, so he decided to call into the CIA lab one day to find out what they could do. It's just too bad the technology wasn't quite as advanced as it needed to be back then....lol
I would assume the fisheye look you get from 120 degree field of view would look fine on a slightly curved screen, somone on here (name escapes me) plays on a curved screen, but with one projector.
That game apears from the videos I've watched to have the same gameplay as the ps2 F1 titles (horrible) but with alot of special effects. The road surface and tires are just wrong, but some other stuff is very impressive.
I was so excited for the PS3, and it still may come out on top as the PS1 was lame when it first hit the market too. My gf's brother is video game journalist of sorts, and has all 3 consoles, and 99% of the games for all of them and none of the PS3 games make you say wow, or give you any real reason to get excited.
I play on my 42" plasma, but there are much better setups that that. I could have bought 2 decent projectors and made a curved screen, that would be my choice in hindsight....lol, although 2 more plasma's on a tripple head would be nice too.
The reason I used the term copyright is because trademark infringement is using the logo for your own product and passing it off as your own, not the case here.
Having a registered trademark does not mean it's free of copyright. All intellectual property rights overlap it's not a case of one or the other.
Being the owner of these intellectual rights gives you the ability to set your own guidelines and restrictions for using and reproducing their logos. These guidlines do fall under the copyright act.
Most of the larger companies like IBM, Coke, Honda etc, have very strict rules pertaining to the use of their logos. While I'm sure hip companies like redbull and DC shoes are flattered and thankful for the promotion, do you really think Honda want's its "H" emblem on the front or back of the XRT? or appearing as the manufacturer of any of the current live for speed cars? Many manufacturers don't even like having their cars in games with severe damage modelling let alone their brand identity on cars that don't even look like their products.
My only point was that I find it funny and hypocritical to get outraged over say, some 14 year old kid using your skin that is plastered with logos you had no right to reproduce in such a manner in the first place, that's it.
It also takes allot of work and skill/ craftsmanship to steal a bunch of cars, chop them up, put them back together into the thieves own creation. I sure if you stole their end result, they would get mad too. However they would be hypocrites for those feelings.
^^That was for the purpose of analogy. I'm not saying stealing a logo to make a skin is the same as stealing a car, but in some cases the price paid for copyright infringement is much larger than that for grand theft auto.
I'm not a religious man but i do agree with "let he who is without sin cast the first stone".
If you want to call a skin or any artwork "yours" then you must be the sole creator of said work, or be granted rights to the intellectual property used to create it.
That sounds like a really cool league to race in, as far as the pics of my car are sure you want the originals cause they are fairly big (almost 4megs each)? You can always right click and save the ones I posted there
As far as swaps go, everyone I know with a K swap says it doesn't make for much of a daily driver as the ridged Hasport mounts make the car shake like crazy even at idle. Also I've driven some monster FWD ek, and eg body civics and all that horsepower feels like a waste to me with the traction issues you get from wheel drive. I'd rather have a RWD if I was to get into the expensive hobby of engine building.
One thing he does that is very wierd IMO is using the polygon laso in place of the pen tool.
It's never to early to get some skills using the bezier/pen tool for drawing.
Well I design logos for as a part of my living, and I can tell you logo design can take up to several months. Whilst putting up with some of the most frustrating client interactions you can ever imagine just to get them done.
I said it was hypocritical for a thief to get mad at someone stealing his work, which it is, if you want to argue with that then please explain...IMO its like feeling sorry for a bank robber when his car gets stolen.
I forgot to mention that I'm 29, but I have "slow" genetics I supose, as I still get mistaken for 18-21 on a regular basis..lol
The strange thing being our age group, (30ish) is that when we were younger gaming was only for kids, and now the sales demographic for xbox and PS is 20-40...lol
What I find funny is anyone that uses copyrighted brand name logos in their skin is a hypocrite for thinking the artwork belongs to them...the typical argument is "hey I worked long and hard on that skin" as if the designer for advan or brembo did absolutely nothing to create the logo....lol. The artist steals and uses said logo without any permission and then thinks the artwork is theirs....lol....if one of my logo covered skins ends up in your skin x folder feel free to "steal" it.
Its a very good movie, needs some work in the timeline editing, as it has some slow parts. However the frame rate, footage, and overall graphics quality is very good.
Do you think it's fair to expect us to read all of that, when you don't put the slightest effort into the basics of the English language or sentence structure?
At least thirty percent of your words are severely misspelled and there is only about 3 real sentences in that entire post. Not exactly a good way to get a point across. I read it twice, and it in the language it was intended to be written in, (English I assume) it makes no sense what so ever.
I wholeheartedly agree, with that I'm just saying that IMO most problems/issues with teens /familys are universal, not local.
We tend to put blame on the teens themselves or the families, when in an almost linear fashion, the rise of such social problems have rose with the changes in media, marketing comunications and the overall balance of pay to the average worker.
If you look at the countries that have the larger share of the socially caused problems you find quite often that, they are also the countries that have the larger ratio of lowest/highest paid worker in a company, advancements in impersonalized communications, advanced states of marketing, and therefore consumerism etc...
