I am all for better crash physics and such, but random failures does not get my vote, Although, I would like to see better tyre damage, don't know if it will be coming with the next patch, but if you ride the high kerbs such as FE and KY too much it can lead to sidewall damage (especially in TBO + GTR).
Another one would be aero damage, this would be interesting imo, it could work two ways a: People are a lot more careful when racing, with that races become a lot cleaner or b: People still act in an idiotic way and by the end of the race whoever has lady luck on their side will win.
I don't mind the current damage system because when you get punted off it is easy enough to get back on and drive round to pits, although it would be nice if some more realistic damage was in LFS, but maybe in an option for servers to use?
What I would like to see is more effective gravel traps, yes it is possible to still drive through them at a much lower speed than what you currently can, but with more chance you will get beached.
Hello, in the past two weeks I have been having weird LFS.exe start up errors, I click my LFS.exe logo which is pinned to the Windows 7 32bit task bar and nine times out of ten I get a LFS.exe error, I must try to re-opening LFS.exe another three to five times before it finally works, from there on in LFS runs absolutely fine.
I am pretty sure I have not changed any directories or such, I have maybe added a few skins and layouts plus driver profiles but this shouldn't affect the LFS.exe right?
I don't know if computer hardware would be a factor in these errors, but I should hope not as I am running a fairly new Intel core i7 set-up.
Please help,
Regards, a puzzled Jake =]
--Edit--
Just let the "Windows is checking for a solution to the problem" run and this is what it came back with,
Files that help describe the problem:
C:\Users\Jake\AppData\Local\Temp\WER6855.tmp.WERInternalMetadata.xml
C:\Users\Jake\AppData\Local\Temp\WERAC29.tmp.appcompat.txt
C:\Users\Jake\AppData\Local\Temp\WERB05F.tmp.mdmp
May be helpful, may not, I don't know much about this
Well I'm guessing it's meant to be like that, BL1 is a fairly long circuit in comparison to BL2, so I would imagine the splits to be in completely different places.
--edit--- My bad, just took a look at the track on LFSmanual and apparently you are correct
Hey, im posting here for advice if anyone has got any on a virus my friend has.
A couple of months ago my friends mobile phone contract bill started going through the roof £20-£30 more than it should be, vodafone say he's been ringing numbers and they have records of this, but he hardly ever uses it, his call log is empty!
It has been traced back to a virus, his mobile number is being used by a virus which is ringing numbers externally(?) and costing him a boat load of money.
The virus is found on all his virus programs and its called 'Coulomb Ltd. Content Access plugin' but no softwear can get rid of it and he cant do it manually(cant find file etc etc).
I would appreciate any help or advice on the virus off anyone who has had past experience of this or anyone with a solution.
I suggested police but for personal reasons that wasn't the best of ideas ^_^
well tbh, as fun as this thread is there is no real point, all the LFS cars are based upon a real life car.
That argument aside, i would really like a XF GTR, because it is one of the only cars i can't think of a real life model to go with it, Renault Cleo or meganne(spelling) maybe, although the XRT does look very sexual indeed.
I quite like being able to still race after being smacked into on the run to T1 or in T1 by someone who has lost his brake pressure and still be able to carry on and race.
On the other hand, it is a simulator and in order for it to advance and become better and more realistic it must have a proper damage model.
Blink 182 <3 imo they were the band that made punk big so bands such as the offspring could rise and become as known as they are. I want you bad is still their best song to date.
I love all music, except trance
haha, thanks for the suggestion Dan, and yeah i have one i never use ^_^.
I will try that tomorrow woot. I doubt i will get kicked out, if anything the lecturers will join me playing it, they really don't give a dam aslong as i get the work done some time or other
Hey, i was wondering if there is a way to unlock LFS S2 on my home computer and somehow saving that unlock data onto a memory stick and then put it into a computer at my college so i have S2 features, currently i cannot access the LFS master server at college because of bloxxx, therefor not allowing for S2 unlocks or online racing leaving me monumentally bored shooting crappy AI's on CS.
I like them because they allow close racing with occasional contact and door rubbing, but i find them quite boring when your without a track companion i.e someone to race, they are quite dull, have a very fine line between under-driving and over-driving and imo they lack that 'wow this is fast' feeling you find in most other cars in LFS, except UF1000
Reviews say that your CPU cooler will fit in the ANTEC 300.
I'm not sure about your GPU cooler though. Another option could be the THERMALTAKE VI1000BWS M9 which is a bit more expensive but a little nicer looking imo, although it is 5mm smaller length ways.
If you are planning on upgrading in the future you might want to look into a larger case such as the ANTEC 902, or others. As a new mother board / CPU cooler may require an even bigger case, plus the size of graphics cards these days means you could be needing 12 inches(?) of space between your rear ports and your hard drive bays.
