Quote from BenjiMC :i am 8th of 10 but its the first time i'd been karting, never mind that track, in about 6 years. i went the other day and beat my pb by .3 which makes me just under 6 tenths off the lap record now. Looking forward to sunday for sure

i was 13th out of 15th at my track, but on the day came 3rd overall with the fastest lap so

Quote from DaveWS :After having another shocker in the Mazda, (god that car just brings up all of iRacing's flaws, I'd like it to go burn in hell for eternity please) I decided to use $15 of my remaining $25 credits to get the Jetta. Man. So much more fun. I've only done a few laps at Laguna, but it's nice to be able to push a car without it snapping away from you before you have a chance to see what happened. In fact I might get Sebring for next week...

same feeling

i don't remember it being such a bitch when i tried it about a year ago.

can you use any shape balloon? as a long thin balloon would store a lot more air for a given surface area

no, they will probably say "ok", then completely ignore the request.
the main point was that the difference in karts can be huge

i qualified aswell 'wessex raceway'

just read the tips thing, and can't do much better than echo all that advice.

By far the most important things in indoor and outdoor corporate karts are:

1. be jenson button smooth
2. get on the throttle as early as possible especially in the hairpins, as these thing have ridiculous small amount of power at low revs.
3. i find the best way to overtake in these things, i to do a switch back, stay outside turn-in late and get on the power several meters before the other guy/girl and just drive past on the straight.

hope to see you in a latter

EDIT: give me a link to your track

i dont know much about visc diff, but i think you are saying that the car seems abit understeery with the clutch pack, a quick summary.

increase power locking more on power oversteer
increase coast locking more entry understeer
increase preload more understeer mid corner

i effects the car quite a lot, what car you referring to?

it makes the car slower as you have to accelerate brake and turn the extra weight.

moving the weight balance forward will make the car more stable and use its front tyres a bit more, and visa versa.

your setup will need to be adjusted abit, can't be very specific sorry just adjust abit so it feels good

hmmm, no feeling for the front tyres. do you get that in all cars/setups or just this combo?

i love ky3r ( apart from the chicane, i prefer it to the normal direction ), having spent hundred of laps around there in the fzr a well tuned set is essential.

do you lack feel in all corners are does it get worse/better at high speed?

i dont think that will be much of an issue, there would still be quite alot of as/fe/ky/so servers online, with the current cars, surely. I know i would still be happy to drive S2 combo, sometime alongside the new content

1. a worn down tyre, does not produce more grip, BUT it will loose/gain temperature quicker as with the correct driving and can keep it in the max grip temp range for longer.

2. not sure had a few beers

Quote from peterules :I'm kiinda in the mood for some rainy racing! It means my extra weight will give me more grip

i hate monsoon style rain, i just skim the surface and end up in a ditch, when everyone else is still in contact with the road

if it rains i'm happy to carry ballast
