Don't go on a race track with a rental car (unless they let you rent cars at the track). If you crash you will not have insurance and pay for everything (financial disaster).
You can't "clean" tires that look like this. It's because they experience a LOT more heat and stress on a track compared to the street. The rubber goes through heat cycles they will never see on the road. It's not just the surface of the tire.
Short answer: Don't do it, get your own trackday car somehow.

I'm not a pc gamer anymore, but i've tried it with a work laptop and it runs almost smooth on highest settings (lenovo t530, i5 something, intel hd4000 graphics).
I really enjoy this game! Took me a good 6 hours to complete one of the maps.

All track releases have been free so far.
The rest i won't argue. DLC in general is a really bad thing, but forza 5 is borderline theft i agree. You don't have to buy the cars tho, there's plenty fun cars that are free.

Stanley, a long time member on this forum and a team member of the lfs drift team Saiko D, had one of those cars! He used to post small video clips of getting it sideways in parking lots, one even had a police officer making an appearance!

Difficult to say, might be that simply the idle "setting" (dunno that word in english, "standgas/leerlauf" in german) is a bit off. At how many rpm does the engine idle before it shuts off (should be steady at around 800-1000rpm)?

Well, it's not only about the looks (yes that blur is terrible). It's also things like looking left and right out of the windows.. In watch dogs you can't actually do that (except for turning your head left/right 5 degrees). Well maybe it's also that the view makes me feel like driving a weird tiny plastic car with no weight or feel to it... Lol... Even the bonnet cam in gta is miles better in regard to making me feel like i'm actually driving a car...
If this is true, let's hope it won't be as terrible as the one in Watch Dogs...

Finally got news from the garage. They should get a new OEM front clam in about four weeks. So if all goes well, i'll be back on the road in mid july... Ahhhh, the waiting!!! I have whitdrawal!
If you haven't seen them yet, Step Into Liquid and Riding Giants are both nice movies/documentaries about surfing.

This game is utter garbage. Sometimes it looks nice, sometimes it looks bad (like an identity crisis between old tech and next gen). Gameplay feels horrible, cars drive like crap, hacking stuff feels like QTE, the whole game feels like Assassins Creed in a modern city... really quite a terrible game IMO.
Played it for about two hours, now it's for sale for half of the price on a local auction site.
