Matias Pikkarainen joined double IGTC champions spdoRacing on Friday evening, in the process becoming the seventh Finnish driver in the team's four-and-a-half year history.
17 year-old Matias - who has been competing in Live For Speed for a little over 6 months - jumped at the opportunity to join one of the sim's leading teams, and hopes to be racing competitively for spdoRacing at the highest level in the near future.
Josh Di Fabio said: "Since the announcement of the Finnish MTV3 LFS competition 8 months ago we've seen an influx of Finnish players into the sim, and we've always kept a keen eye out for emerging talent.
"Matias is exactly the sort of person we were hoping to find, so we were delighted when he accepted our offer to join the team. He's the first Finn we've signed in a long time!"
23 year-old Mihaly has driven a number of races in the highly competitive Hungarian League - securing 10 podium finishes in the process - and recently appeared in the Masters of Endurance league for the first time as a guest driver for Hungarian team iNf!N!tY*SkillS.
Heikki Jaakkola was delighted with the signing: "We've wanted to sign someone like Balazs for a while now - it's difficult to find older guys who are quick and available to join a team.
"I'm sure he'll fit into the team straight away and will do well for us in MoE and the other leagues in the future."
Sorry for our absence in qualifying the lack of a line-up thus far. I assumed we'd have at least two people able and willing to do this but no one seems to be available. It seems unlikely that we'll be able to drive tomorrow but I'll try my best to ensure that we can.
Yeah, he's quote young and evidently is new to the community so I suspect this is the case. I sent him a polite PM earlier in the evening explaining what it means to be in a team and how to go about joining one.
Lap 2 (1st racing lap)
#32 and #41
Lap 2 (why again?), sector 1, turns 1 and 2
#41 Norbi gets out of shape in t1 and tags my back end when I'm clearly gonna take 2nd place, takes advantage of that to take my position. In turn 2 he then squeezes me into the wall when I've plenty of overlap. Maybe it's a racing incident but imo it's not fair for him to take a position by t-boning me,

I wanted to say that I don't want to add competitions which are simply called "[Car name] Competition" or "[Car name] League" or something like that. If you can give me something additional to put in the title I'll add it. For example, "SRLT XF GTI Championship" would be fine.
