Given the championship situation and the guys who'll be racing it clearly won't affect the outcome.

Anyway whatever, you're the boss. See you tomorrow.

Quote from DeadWolfBones :Qlimax removed from grid, as it was essentially a spdoRacing #2 team.

Good idea, let's have an empty spot instead of letting some guys race who are willing and don't often get the opportunity.

I just finished 4 years at UEA. Which accomodation are you staying in?! I'm pretty sure I only paid ~£60/w for en suite in the University Village in 2005.

Anyway, you should definitely make an effort to get to know the people in your house and spend plenty of time with them. In my experience, the friends you meet at uni are closer than any others as you spend such a great deal of time with them. And don't worry if they're a bit different to you - I think you'll get molded more as a person in your time at uni than you have in the previous 18 years of your life!

Edit: And what are you studying? Computing Science?

It certainly would be incredibly disappointing if only one track had been developed between 2005 and 2010, but I really can't believe that that could be possible. We just have to hope that Scawen is only telling us about the stuff that he has to tell is about, and we've several surprises coming to us with the initial S3 release .

Quote from Victor :This is a message for those of you who collect racer's countries via the pubstats.

I have updated the country listing that our websites use to be more like the ISO 3166-1 one. More like and not exactly because we don't use only capitals. And there are some added names in our list (england, scotland, etc and kosovo).

But this means that some stored country names have changes as of now. For example 'Slovak Republic' is now 'Slovakia' and 'Russia' is now 'Russian Federation'.
If you store countries, you may have to check their names against the iso list and update them accordingly. Or if for example you display flags you may have to rename some flag files. Most names will have stayed the same though. It's mostly the more exotic names that are slightly different.

I'll attach a php file with the exact array that we use (and a small array with some additional names, not in the ISO list), if that will help a bit.

Thanks for the update Victor.

Is there any reason why some countries, e.g. COCOS (KEELING) ISLAND, SAINT BARTHÉLEMY have been ignored?

Edit: Also, would it be possible for you to generate empty .txt highlight files for countries which don't yet have any highlights? It would simplify and improve the effectiveness of my code a great deal. Currently, 404'ing on any non-existant highlight files causes quite large delays in my script due to the timeout period.

Edit: I've just understood what you mean. I'm aware of that problem but I can't be bothered to fix it at the moment. "http://" should be added to your team's URL on LFSWorld.net for the time being.

Please do not post off topic in this thread. General spdoracing.com discussion and bug reports should go in the New Event Database at spdoRacing.com thread.

Well now I don't know what to believe!

Anyway, Vykos and the Northern guy who commentated on the TBO challenge are the best commentators imo - they don't often make mistakes but they still say enough to keep you interested.

@Josh

LOTA currently has a league where cars are picked at random 20 minutes before qualifying, would it be best to just do it all at once after the league is finished or what?

I don't mind adding a competition which is missing cars and/or tracks, but session start times are required.

Quote from banshee56 :Josh,

I have a question: LOTA has run a number of league seasons now that were multi-class in the same race, yet none of these are shown on the Event Database. In essence, we had two different leagues (with similar, yet distinctly unique rules) running at the same time. For example, we had our Grand Touring Challenge Sportsman series and Grand Touring Challenge Club series (each with it's own points standings) running at the same time. The GTCC cars were restricted, so there was no way they could win the overall event, yet there was a winner for that class.

What can be done to capture the "class" results for these league winners? Is there a way I can submit a list of competitors for each series and have your database recognize all of the winners? This is a similar situation for the MoE.

Nothing. The system doesn't support or detect handicaps yet.
