Quote from diablo21 :I understand it may be a shame for some people but if you've seen our site and how the leagues/races are set up you would understand why they don't have the need to go elsewhere. I haven't seen all the international leagues but from what I've seen we have them much better organized and the racing is awesome, so why race anywhere else when what you have 'at home' is so nice?

We have our team forum and we can share setups between team members and have all kind of stats all in one website, and the most important, we have fun, just like a big family. And that may be the reason because when a spaniard gets flamed/attacked for something lots of them come here (I must say some comments are out of place though).

Quote from arrechee :I Play since the s1,since 2003-2004 year, yes,i not have many milles or km online, but i did many laps hvlc, the cuestion is playing a lot,its imposible to go fast with a person that run few laps in this simulator

Do you think you'll ever have time to compete in any of the international leagues? The Spanish league is certainly one of the best organised and most well attended leagues around, but I think it's possible to take part in some other races additionally . IMO it would be cool to have a Spanish entry in MoE or IGTC for example, and these races only take place once per month. You could get Zanini and Elgar and some others on board? :P

Quote from chaa :I think the miles you drove online don't say so much... a lot of people just practise offline and as a result they don't have driven many miles...

That's true, but you'll always find Arrechee practicing for races online, and given how quickly he'll upload a series of hotlaps I don't think he spends long on them.

I disagree with most of my teammates - I reckon Arrechee's proven himself as the quickest over 1 lap, and it's even more impressive when you consider he's got less than half as many miles as Ray in the sim and far fewer than Norbi also.

It is a shame that none of the quick Spanish guys seem interested in racing in any international leagues though :P.

Quote from Victor :Is there a website / are there webpages that can be linked to with rules, standings, etc?
As a general rule I do not add sections for leagues without a website and that are still in planning stages.

Yo Victor,

Would it be possible to get a spdoRacing GP2 Series sub-section now? The first race is on Tuesday, just four days away, and we've now got a full ruleset and currently have 30 guys signed-up to race in Round 1.

Our site has a schedule and will hold replays and results once the first round is complete. Standings will most likely be on the forum, but we've already got more web functionality than most of the leagues on here.

Cheers

b) The order at which the super pole cars are asked to join the track and perform their single lap is the same/or inversed as the order they finished on the "regular" qualify?

c) What are the skins' rules?

Thanks for your input guys, I've made a few changes and additions now.

Okay, I've created a new thread with the final schedule, rules and some other information.

A registration thread for the opening round of the season will be posted within the next 12 hours.

Quote from BenjiMC :ye i saw, can just make a simple web page no? calendar on one page, points on the other. something simple like that.

Well we have a schedule on our site and obviously the results and replays will appear there also. That's already more than most leagues manage, so I don't really get why Victor wants more. If time allows I'll make a little script to calculate championship standings from the results but right now I've gotta get on with my uni work.

3.1.3 During qualifying sessions, drivers who are not on a flying lap are expected to keep out of the way of other drivers where possible.
3.1.4 When a driver defends their position, they are allowed to make a single move away from the racing line followed by a return to the optimal line between each corner. 'Weaving' to deny a trailing car a slipstream is not allowed.

3.2.2 Each line of chat is punished with a one second penalty in qualifying sessions and a five second penalty in race sessions.
3.2.3 A qualifying session is considered to be active as soon as it begins and is considered to be inactive when time has expired and no cars are on a 'flying lap'.
3.2.4 A race session is considered to be active once the lights go green and is considered inactive once all drivers whose cars remain on track have completed the race.
3.2.5 As soon as a session goes inactive or an event administrator declares chat to be open, drivers are free to post chat messages.
3.2.6 Drivers are expected to refrain from posting any offensive or insulting chat messages.

4.1.2 Championship positions are determined by the total number of points accumulated in each driver's five highest scoring events of the season.
4.1.3 The number of points accumulated per event by each driver is equal to the points which they accumulate in each of the event's sessions combined.
4.1.4 When multiple drivers share the same points total in the drivers' championship standings, the number of points scored in each driver's dropped event is compared to determine which driver is classified ahead.
4.1.5 When rule 4.1.4 is unable to seperate drivers the 'countback' rule is used on the relevant drivers' entire set of race results for the season.

4.2 Teams' championship

4.2.1 Each team which, according to LFS World driver to team associations, competes in the competition is automatically entered into the teams' championship.
4.2.2 Championship positions are determined by the total number of points accumulated in each team's five highest scoring events of the season.

Just fyi guys I'm going to be away until Sunday 19 April, and most likely without internet access. I'll try to get a forum subsection for the league when I get back. Registration for the opening round will most likely begin one week before the event, on Tuesday 21 April, with some additional rules going online around the same time - though nothing major will be changing.

Quote from Gil07 :I have a question... How are the results in multi-class leagues with the same car handled? For example MoE, where there is GT1 and GT2. It seems the order is just processed, like it's single class. Maybe there's a way to manually flag some cars as GT2? I wouldn't mind doing something like that...

Ignore if there's already a way to handle this

I have half the stuff in place to handle mutliple classes, but it's not finished yet (I can't add them manually).

If cars are used which are in different classes regardless of handicaps, like XFG and FZR, then the database picks it up. If however there are cars used which would be in the same class without handicaps, for example MoE GT1 & GT2, it's not picked up.

This is on my to-do list along with many other things, but I'm right at the end of my degree now and likely won't have time for the website until late May.

Well there's a schedule on our website, but the league doesn't have a website of its own.

Why would we need one? We're using the forum because everyone's already got an account here.
