Quote from BlueFlame :Have to say though... the Nuerburgring GP circuit looks complete just.... wrong.

Tell me more... nobody didn't complain on this 'wrongness' in AC forums

Except it won't work with custom layouts.

Quote from Fordman :AC I see the potential, I really do, but for us low spec PC's users we need to upgrade to see this potential, thus include's most cost to us...the users, the players, the gamers.

I have heard from good friends of mine, AC is great, but £29.99 for a sim that is purley hotlapping ( at the moment I know ) surely is not justified, when you need to spend ( and quote me if I am wrong ) £60-100 to have a gfx card to run it?

This is where I am going, please somebody, come here and say, you need this GFX card to run this, this and this, and this is how much it will cost you, as I bet a top dollar, loads of people are asking the same questions.

Me personally, I love online sim racing, and racing with friends, but when the £ or $ signs start to appear, I need to or want to know, how much will it cost me.

LFS for example, I know will run on my current PC with three monitors and S3 will cost me £12 ( actually it will cost me nothing as I added £12 to my account all those years ago ) for S3. I have tried I-racing ( got a free 3 month trial, and gfx failed ) I tried AC Tech Demo, again failed, and RF2, due to my gfx setup, so cost effective, is LFS really that bad a buy?

Fordie

you need at least gtx780 if you want to run AC with triples

Kegetys has fixed the Joux

Finally got around to fix the issues in Joux Plane with the recent Assetto Corsa early access versions causing collision problems in some parts of the track. There were some leftover triangles under the track in a few places from lower LOD level mesh used originally by RBR.

A few other improvements are included also, changelog for version 1.3:

Removed some remnants of low detail geometry under the track causing collision issues with newer AC versions
Broken track section no longer adds dirt to tyres
All grass is now valid track to avoid penalty from small cuts
Added more zoomed in external cameras

They have done some tweaks with the HDR, no need for 'page down' at daytime

Quote from The Very End :What is the overboost thing in general? I have not read much around, but is it some sort of chipping/boost of the engine but causes damage to it? I have no clue, someone please write a informative reply for a turd

Overboost works in those cars that are 'mapped' (z4 d1, evora s1, 1m s3)
It's like that thing tuners use in their cars to crank up the boost

Quote from Oliver Feistkorn :
But what is this overboost stuff? I mean it is super unrealistic, 100% feels like 20hp more but the engine breaks after a lap.

Agree, it's overdone

Quote from Boris Lozac :I don't feel shi* with the Mclaren, like my FF is turned off.. Where is that friend leaderboards thing?

I somehow like that disconnected feel

Chris Harris talks about that in his test drive

Tested e85 z4 d1 spec with overboost
when you drive with 80% engine is fine
100% is good for 1 hot lap, need to test how long the engine last with 90%

Damn the mapped 1m
You can select 10 boost levels 10%, 20% up to 100%
Ah and it looks 50% better with lowered ride hight

400hp and 580nm is no joke

edit:

@ max boost engine only lasted 1/2 half lap at Vallelunga

Quote from BlueFlame :Mac feels good, felt like it needed to have a sharper steering rack though. It's like dealing playing cards as an octopus.

I recommend 420 degrees

Quote from JackDaMaster :??? both cars are easy to drift even though I'm really crap at drifting

Ok go and do full drift lap at that circle test polygon track at decent angle, not this 2 degrees bullshit and film it, or send me a replay file

Quote from fwj515 :The graphics are good yeah, but i feel the cars drive worse then iracing road cars and the game has a big GT feel as well

What is GT feel? I have newer tried PD games, since GT4

Quote from JackDaMaster :RUF RT12R is a road car (RWD and AWD)

Grate cars ruined by iRacings ''you will die if you cross the limits'' tire physics
Try to drift both cars in that big empty circle test polygon, even with super fast rack (tried with 480 degrees) it's impossible to catch a slide, no matter how fast you turn the wheel
