"Getting real close to a 1.0 version. (actually, it could be, but we'll likely find a thing or two, so I'm leaving myself a little head room until 1.0)"(c)Pierre-André Leclair
Gp circuit looks even better then KS version more trackside objects
..ok maybe not, but not far off
looking very good, but it's ripped from GTR evo right ?
Right, and that's way this track never gets topic on AC or RD forums, sure looks better then Snoopy's version, but I don't get why this guy is bothering with it, when the KS version will be even superior.
edit:
Watched that video again, daaamn that Ring looks so much better then Snoopy's, the trackside objects, the grass, the trees, the rumble strips, the shadows that pass through the 3d guardrails, the graffiti and tarmac textures, the track side cameras, the everything, and track itself is more accurate.
The ruf also seems to have the same hidden driving aid as the cobra. Once you get into big slide it suddenly stops rotating any more and the car almost like drifts itself. Maybe it is just the ffb being better following the path of the car with the front tires. Or maybe there is just some bug with the tires... compared to how hard it is to keep the car at the limit keeping the car at decent drift angle is super easy. Just odd...
RUF is good! I was worried that I my not be able to drive like Stefan Roser in that oldest viral car vid, but you can easily replicate he's driving and even better...
Yes!
Not a huge race car guy, but that 787b thing is just toooo awesome
physics 10/10
interior sound 11/10
exterior sound 8/10 - I want it to be louder, IRL you can hear it miles away
Hiding the steering wheel won't change input lag with V-sync on. I wanna be able to catch slides..
I am catching slides easily with the Vsync on. I can't feel the difference, yes there is a tiny lag, but the only way I can notice it, is when the virtual wheel is on, when I switch it off my brain just adapts, because there is no visual reference.
Btw, don't know how i ever drove any other way. Turned off the virtual wheel, set up the FOV and monitor position so the gauges are behind my real wheel, it's like i'm in the damn car.. Immersion over 9000.
I drive the exact same way, only my immersion is just 3000, because of the single 24' monitor waiting for the CV1
How is the new ffb? I bumped AC gain from 65% (100% in profiler) to 80% and min force to 12, feels great now.
edit: That 'min force' thingy was critical, make sure you bump it up form default 5 to 12 (if u are using logitech wheel) be aware if you use old controller setup, min force will be at 0, double check that!
He said that sound will be even more epic in the final version.
Thanks for the feedback guys. Glad everyone likes the changes and the new sounds.
KitrinosKat is busy tweaking the latest version of the sounds..which are on another level yet again - so stand by for even more aural awesomeness.
The sierra road car is just fabulous to drive. Almost perfect straight out of the box.
Also I'm never trolling. I also tried the koeniggsegggggg. Felt like rfactor too although I just tried the middle tires. Not the grippiest but not the slipperiest. Longnitudal grip is kinda on off. Sure it has 570 trillion hp and rwd but for a car that was tuned with drivability in mind it drives more like 1500hp supra with single truck sized turbo than a car with predictable power delivery.
I like the Sierra as well About the koeniggsegggggg..., just don't floor it in 1,2,3,4 gears and you will be fine
He is trolling , there is not one single bad comment on AC or VirtualR forums
Of course this car is not for everybody, If you like difficult handling cars with soft suspension, poor grip, shity brakes, with some quirks, like famous front end lift at high speed, to high revlimiter, etc. Then you will love it
Wow the Miura is outstanding! Equal if not better then the famous Cobra mod, and no surprise because the same people are responsible for it. KS should hire those people.
With shift lock you can initiate slide, but it's stupid to do so, bad for gearbox and clutch, and IRL drifters don't use shiftlock, it's not that effective and very inaccurate, 90% of the time it's the E brake
