Tried Cobra v0.2? He addressed all the issues, mostly the rear grip
Never tried rF1, (except demo, witch was horrible), but I own rF2, it's pretty decent, dynamic road and rain is awesome, but like all the sims rF2 has some problems in physics department, has very little street car choice (big downside for me) very outdated graphics and horrible optimisation.
Cobra is miles better now
Ultimate combo = Cobra s/c + street tires + dusty road + low track temps + Longford (because 0.95 grip)
*be warned death may occur!
Didn't know that using lower racks is a no no is simracing world
I am also cheating IRL, bought z3 rack for my e30 with 2,7 turns lock to lock, costs pretty penny, but it's worth it was 3,2(e36 rack) before, originally 4 turns form lock to lock.
900 is too much for me, feels like I am driving a truck
For the Cobra I use 510
For the F40 - 490
For drift cars, slow cars, fwd - 540
only for the single seaters I use 1:1 steering
love the fast race
nobody blames the mouse or joystick users, they have insanely fast steering
"Hey, another update. I've finished texturing the interior, and exterior is 95% done. Then one more pass to go just to clean things up. I think the physics are almost there for 1st release. Aris has offered to help with making tyres. There are still a few issues left. Currently the main issue is the custom collider isn't working, so I'll be working on fixing that. There are no driver animations yet, though I think I'll leave them out for 1st release as they can take some time to do. Nearly there"
"Hey everyone. I've updated the front page with more up to date info. Currently we are planned for release on the 14/07/2014 and are just going over everything making final changes and tweaks. Aris has provided us with some new tyres and everything is looking good''
I enjoy overpowered rwd cars as much I enjoy 55hp Ibiza *as long as they are street cars with street tires
But I agree that finding F40, L49 or 312T server is a rare opportunity, always those damn GT3's
