But one thing. After I used the TV Director, my own custom cams are overwritten.
Could you program something so the Director saves the players own custom cams when the Director starts, and "restores" the payers cams when it ends, please? Would be great.
that happend to me twice in the last 6 weeks. I was on "Conedogers 1". After I exited the Setup screen the message appeared.
The first time I wondered, because I was sure I uploaded the skin sucessfully (I drove with that skin before online with no such message). I went to LFSW and saw the skin is up. Hmm. I uploaded the skin again (I don't remember if I deleted the old one first).
The message "skin uploaded successfully" or similar appeared.
Back at the server I left setup screen and NO message appeared.
Last time (5th of April, 10.00 pm (Berlin time) ) http://www.lfsworld.net/?win=races&racer=ksa_land
on Conedogers1 again the message appeared again. I asked the people if they see my skin. One said no, others said yes. Some others said they get this message too.
I chatted a bit with one of them (quarz) who said "yes, I see your skin".
He said he's just back to LFS after half a year of being off. My skin is probably not so old, so he auto downloaded my skin sucessfully but I'm not sure about that.
I went to LFSWorld and checked my skins. The skin was uploaded. I uploaded it again without deleting the "old" one. I don't know, but in this case should there come a message like "sucessfully UPDATED the skin" or something similar? Because it said "sucessfully UPLOADED" like I upload a skin the first time.
I went back on the server and I still got the "your skin was not found...upload it on LFSW" message.
Again back to LFSW and deleted the "old" one. Uploaded it. Back at server. Again the message.
So nothing helped. We thought it's something with the server. But (not absolute sure) I think the auto upload worked for me. At least I don't remember seeing any white car.
My LFS name : ksa_land
The skin: FZR_TICO79_PRIV
The day after I went on Conedogers1 again. No message!
Hmm.
I hope this helps a bit.
P.S. The skin is uploaded in resolution 1024x1024. I use ingame the skin in resolution 2048x2048 (with identical file name of course)
I made another cam pack. New Blackwood and SO Chicane Route included.
Land cams 03:
BL1 - Blackwood GP - Updated for Patch Y
BL1R - Blackwood GP - Patch Y ready
FE2 - Fern Bay Green
FE4R - Fern Bay Black Reverse
KY1R - Kyoto Ring Oval Reverse
KY3 - Kyoto Ring GP Long - reworked pack 01 version
KY3R - Kyoto Ring GP Long Reverse
SO6 - South City Chicane Route
SO6R - South City Chicane Route Reverse
WE1 - Westhill International
AS1 - Aston Cadet
AS5 - Aston Grand Prix
After seeing most of the broadcasts of the eTM at www.esport-racing.com I think that I'm sometimes using unnessasary high (>10m) camera positions. I have started to rework some of my cam-files. All cameras in this pack are up to date now.
In the german forum he said that he doesn't see a menu when he press F12 (also F9, F10, F11). They told him already the obvious answers. I don't know what's behind his problem.
Uhmm, would be cool if the TV Director could handle different "camera packs".
So I make my own pack but at the same time I could download another one. (Yes I can do that now too, but I have to copy the cam-files in the right folder and backup the "old" ones in another folder)
Either the different packs could have different folders or a different prefix in the .cam name like KSA_BL1.cam
Your cams could be named as DEFAULT_BL1.cam etc.
Then the pack should be selectable in the TVdirector.exe or in the TVdirectorGUI.exe.
In the case the current track is not included in the selected camera pack the TVdirector could use your default cam.
X35: UFR & XFR, 12 cars, 10 laps, forced pitstop, "use player setup" off
--> all UFRs get a DT as they enter pits. But they are allways too fast, so they get a DT forever.
Pitting itself is a mess (All cars at same time in the pits). Some crash in the car in front of them. Don't know if they want to pit at the same place (yellow pit marking) or if they want to pit one place later but steer too early to the left side.
X36: FBM, 12 cars, 10 laps, forced pitstop, "use player setup" off
--> most of the cars get a DT when entering pits --> DT forever --> disqualified after race.
Pitting itself the same mess. Some crash into other cars. A crashed car got pushed out of the pits by another. The pushed AI was on full throttle AND half on the brake --> clutch was overheating. After the car behind passed the pushed car the AI wanted to drive normal but wasn't aware of the overheated clutch --> AI burned clutch totally.
Other (4 or 5) AIs didn't get refueled. They were out of fuel after a half lap after pitting --> out of race
X35: big GTRs (mixed), 12 cars, 10 laps, .... like above
--> NO DT but they braked unhumanly perfect into the pits
After Race some of the cars didn't turn into their pitstalls(?). Oddly they turned left to enter the stall but suddenly turned right again and drove through the pitlane and turned off the engine a few meters after the pits.
All in all nice coverage. Good action and congratulations to the winner nils.
the stream was ok. But still a bit too much pixel fragments due to the high compression and some sound clipping when you speak a bit louder (while overtakings ...).
Nice custom cameras. I use the LFS TV Director by Soeren Scharf. http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?p=244630#post244630
To load the missing textures I do simply end the Director mode (end Shift+U mode) by pressing esc and reenter with Shift+U. Then all textures are loaded.
Btw. do you use LFS TV Director or another program? Maybe the x-cam system which Becky Rose mentioned in her broadcast round 9? I ask because you seem to be able to select the driver manually what's sadly not possible with the TV Director.
So, all in all good entertaiment. Nice to have 2 streams (international eTM and german eTM) per week so far
Keep up the good work.
