Niki, just wanted to suggest, shouldn't the driving order be reversed and not starting with championship leader? I mean, that should be an advantage of a championship leader to see the times of the other drivers. Just a thought.

Hi all! I was just wondering, how are you lads doing round FE Gold. Personally, only did about 10 laps today and was able to get 58.86 but still lots of work to do on the setup. How are you lads doing?

Always impressive to watch Senna drive . Been my role model ever since I was a wee lad and I just learn from him more and more everytime I see him drive. His throttle technique, the constant dabbing instead of modulation is really interesting. I don't quite understand the principle behind it, is it something to do with getting the power out early?. That vid doesn't really show what he actually does very well. From what I read and heard, he keeps dabbing the throttle like that but in a gradual manner where each time he keeps dabbing it, he doesn't take his foot off the throttle as much as the last dab till he reaches full pedal travel and keeps it in.

I may join you lads . I was just having some nice extreme clean racing with acr|Nisse, great driver . Hopefully, I'll be able to join you lads later tonight .

This is something that has puzzled me for some time. I've noticed that a lot of racers don't appreciate drifters and vice versa. I mean, sure, when you're on a server to race and someone comes along to drift, you can just ask them nicely to stop drifting and if they don't, you know the rest . IMO, I appreciate high quality driving. For example, the Keiichi Tsuchiya Drift Bible, I'm amazed at what the "Drift King" can do! he's really really good! . So, what I'm saying is, why can't racers appreciate the skill to drift and vice versa?

I for one, appreciate the art of drifting, same way as I appreciate those who know how to drive a car fast and consistently. I'm more of a racer than a drifter but I do like to drift from time to time.

Well, I'm no GTR expert, I tend to enjoy and much better in the single seaters but I've had many nights of racing at AS National, GTRs. First corner, I generally brake between 60-50 meters and then bring the car right to the apex whilst on the brakes and bring it down to about 165-170 KMH then I just start straightening the wheel (according to how edgy the setup is, different amounts of lock used) and maximum throttle.

As for the final chicane, it is very tricky indeed but I think the quickest way through is to try and use as less steering lock as possible, basically trying to search for the perfect straight line to go through the whole chicane. I like to setup the car to get the left side (perhaps right side wheels too) all on the inside kerb for the first part then just straighten the car up for the exit. I'm no real GTR expert and there are those who can go between 0.5-1 and sometimes 2 seconds faster than me but I am pretty proud of my FZR speed (PB: 1:41.08). I'm ok in the other 2 but I just need to practice more with them.
