Its alright, got talking to some other fellas on another forum and they said that Individual 11, Laughing Man and Solid State Society are included. Not sure if in both box sets combined or are in each box set.
Hi all! I really REALLY want to get Tekken 5: DR. I know a lot of people think its a button masher, with a few characters, yes but there is a technical side to it (like the complex combos) and its a pretty cool game because it focuses on close combat almost all the time unlike MK or SF which are both really good too but nice to have a change. Anyway, what I want to ask if anyone here knows where I can get Tekken 5: DR through disc format or something of the like because I can't get broadband where I am so I can't get it via PSN. Can anyone help me please?
Selling your X360 for better racing games on PS3? don't go there man, really. X360 is much better for racing games. Forza 2 IMO is better than GT5P and then you have the PGR series which is really good as well (4 is really class in particular). The only 2 racing games I've heard for PS3 were GT5P and Motorstorm Pacific Rift which is off road racing anyway.
If you're absolutely determined to sell it, you could try Amazon but I think they may require credit card. I'm sure you could ask your dad or mum (if they have a credit card) or friend or whatever to sell it on your behalf. Not too hard to do. "Mum/Dad/Matey Watey, could you sell my xbox stuff on Amazon/eBay?"
well, thankfully, I've never had the RROD (please God I never do ) but if it were to happen, Microsoft should replace it no problem, yeah? I have a funny feeling though that I may have the Jasper because I did get my 360 in August or October which would equate to late 2008, wouldn't it? I'd love to see the jasper working though so that I can see how much quieter it is.
hi all! I've read on the net about a new version of the 360 that was released recently. Apparently, all the console bundles with RES5 were Jasper models which apparently are meant to be a lot quieter but what I want to ask is, first of all, how do I know if the console I'm getting is a Jasper (when bought stand alone) and secondly, is it really worth it? I mean, is it just that its quieter or are the specs slightly better? I'd probably still sell my 360 and get it even if its quieter but because its a bit bizarre how loud it is but question is, is there a dramatic difference or only a little? thanks
Yes, we do have TV licences in Ireland. We've come a long way from our potato growing days .
Well, the reason why I opened up this discussion is because my brother downloads a bunch of classic F1 races. Supposedly morally, there should be absolutely nothing wrong with doing so because the races aren't readily available to buy in the shops, only the season review but still, apparently, the FOM (legal controllers of F1) had a problem with these races being freely distributed and warned the administrators of the website hosting these races by the public which is frankly, totally idiotic.
So, in that legal issue, I view it as cheek really. With series, I'm in a moral dilemma because these series are in fact released in box sets in their entirety so one could say, if you want to watch it again, buy the box set but that still doesn't deny the fact that you still have the potential to record a series directly so, I'm not really sure on how to look at it. Being before that I've always downloaded games/movies before, I'll probably side with the second option.
Game demos always suck so I do readily support downloading a game, play it. If I like it, buy it, if not, delete
Hi all. To perhaps put my conscious more at rest, I wanted to know whats the general opinion on this.
Basically, whats wrong with the idea of downloading series? I know legally its a big no no but from the logical side, it doesn't seem to be wrong.
Let me explain why. So, you're watching a TV series (Lost, Heroes, Smallville, etc.) on TV. The series finishes but you want to watch it again so you download it. Some people would view this as simply wrong, others, like myself would be kind of in the grey area and others simply wouldn't care if it came on TV or not.
Anyway, my logic (which I learnt from someone) is that if it came on TV, if the potential to record it was there, then how would that stand legally? Think of it like the Sky+ box, as they advertised, you can record a whole series so why is there a legal problem in downloading a series?
Well, I'm aware that 1st and 2nd gig are different series but what I'm asking is in the box sets of each series, do they include the stories of Solid State Society, Laughing Man and Individual 11 so that I wouldn't have to buy the trilogy and just get 1st and 2nd gig box sets
Hi all! I wanted to ask if anyone could put my mind at rest. I've been watching Ghost in the Shell on Anime Central there for a while now and seems really cool. Anyway, I looked around on Amazon for the 2 films and series. I'm a little confused about something though. So, whats confusing me now is that the episodes that are currently showing on Anime Central are Ghost in the Shell 2nd Gig where the main topic of the story is the Individual 11 but in the Trilogy DVD, its stated that the Individual 11 story has been provided so what I want to ask is this, are they the same. Anyway, to get straight to the point, I've found 2 DVD box sets, one is Ghost in the Shell Trilogy and another one Ghost in the Shell 2nd Gig Complete Collection. So, I don't want to waste my money and get both and find that they're the same.
I know that there were only 2 films so I'll just be getting the double bill box set which has both but in regards to the series, do I need just the Trilogy and that'll be the complete series or get the 2 box sets (1st gig and 2nd gig) or are all of the sets separate from each other, requiring me to get the 4 sets. Thanks.
Well, I agree that many people die from cancer and many have died from even worse illnesses. Its really sad but I guess technology still has a lot to catch up to.
It is very commendable how she accepted her being exploited by the media in order to raise money for her children, this is the true definition to being a parent "to put your kids' needs before yours" but really, I believe that a lot of parents would do things of the same calibur.
I'm not trying to say that she's just another person who died from cancer like all those who died from it but I'm saying that she deserves to be remembered and respected as a noble woman like all those before her who did/would go to the same lengths of self sacrifice.
Hi all. I wanted to ask if anyone could help me with a problem I'm having. I bought Sonic Unleashed (yeah yeah, I'm immature, childish or whatever) there just over a month ago but I have a problem with it.
I'm experiencing a lot of slowdown during the werehog bit (running around and gets really bad when there are other monsters around) which is frankly, something I just can't stand. Anyway, I read a bit on the net that its a problem with the PS3 version and that the X360 version is much smoother so I just wanted to ask if anyone could confirm this for me?
I'm also considering getting Sonic The Hedgehog as I felt like I've fallen out of the loop (played from the first game up to Adventure 2) so does it have the same problem or is it reversed console wise?
And going slightly off topic, MGS4 doesn't run at 60FPS, its not crazy slow but just curious to know if its just the game or worryingly, my PS3.
Hi all! I've looked around for both games all over the net now. Went on about 20-30 websites but they all say out of stock and all the private sellers are selling it for £80+ (some even have the cheek to sell MGS3: Subsistence for £250!!!) so can anyone tell me where I can find these excellent games for PS2 brand new for realistic prices? Thanks.
So I rented F1 05 and no, it doesn't work so will have to revert back to the original plan of getting a PS2. So to reiterate my question, where can I find a new PS2 for a good price?
@Jakg: I've looked on the PC World and Currys websites and they don't seem to be selling them anymore. I'm guessing that they were selling them for 50 as part of a clearance sale.
@S14 Drift: I read from a credible source that Yu Suzuki said that the shenmue story is fully written from beginning to end. The only reason why Shenmue 3 and 4 are being delayed is because he wants to ensure that he can strike a deal with one of the console manufacturers (I guess Sony, Microsoft or Nintendo) that both games come out on at least one console which is a great idea to keep us happy that we'll get to play to the end of the story without having doubts about Shenmue 4 but the downside of course is that it seems to be taking a while to set.
Ok, here comes the awkward bit... I actually have an 80 GB PS3 but from what I've read on the net and manual, it isn't PS2 compatible. That said, I haven't tried it myself so I might just try to see. Would be damn handy if it worked. I did briefly consider selling my PS3 and getting 60 GB version but it seems a bunch of people on eBay caught on about the whole PS2 compatibility thing so they're selling for like £600-£700 which means I'd be much better off keeping my PS3 and getting a PS2.
Why oh why did they have to take out the PS2 GPU. Just pure bullshit!
are you sure brand new? I've contacted game and they said they're selling preowned PS2s for 30 and 40 for the slimline edition.
Before anyone thinks I'm a snob or a ponce, the reason why I'm looking for a new one is because of its life. I don't want to be playing it and one year down the line, it dies. That said, there is, of course, always the possibility that it could have a manufacturing defect but thats much more less likely and if it would, thats why I'd feel more comfortable buying it retail as I'm sure they'd replace if it did have any.
During the PS2 Vs. Xbox war, I did go for the Xbox and I still think its a better console but after playing metal gear solid 2 on the xbox, I've been more than eager to play the first game and 3rd and I'm also very interested in the Tekken series and Street Fighter Alpha Anthology, not to forget to mention, GT4, all of which cannot be played on PS3, thanks to Sony's removal of the PS2 GPU which had 93% compatibility for PS2 which I would've been more than happy with but of course, how could they keep making money without still selling their PS2s. I may just revert to buying a used PS2 as when I calculated all the games I want to get and controller, the whole package came out at around £80 which isn't bad for a console, 2 controllers and 5 games but if anyone knows where I can get a new one for between £0.01 - £70.00, I'd really appreciate it.
hi all! I'm looking into getting a silver slimline PS2 (new). I've looked around on a few sites but they're all £90 or above so could anyone tell me if I can find a bargain somehwere? thanks.
Hi again. I downloaded WinSIXAXIS but unfortunately, it didn't work . At first, I got through all the steps till the "Did the Add New Hardware wizard completed installing the PPJoy driver?" and I clicked cancel or no by mistake and it seems that it screwed up. Anyway, I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it but now, it keeps locking when I load up WinSIXAXIS, even after reinstalling it so can anyone help me please? I just got Street Fighter 2008 Mugen Edition and it totally sucks playing with the keyboard . Thanks.
EDIT: K, I just read that its related to the ps3sixaxis_en.exe but can someone tell me how can I remove all drivers for the controller so I can start a fresh installation of WinSIXAXIS (Removing the PPJoy, LibUSB,ps3sixaxis_en.exe and WinSIXAXIS drivers). Thanks.
Hi all! I recently got back into GeneRally, not knowing why I stopped playing it in the first place . Anyway, my main source before for getting new cars and tracks were the RSCNet Forums but the forums are down at the moment so does anyone know a really good source for GeneRally stuff? I know theres google and I've found some stuff on google but there weren't many tracks or cars on each site so would be handy if there is a site with a whole bunch of cars and tracks. Thanks.
Hi all. I'm having a slight problem finding all the watercolour pics for all the fighters. I have found Ryu, Ken, Guile, Balrog, Vega and Akuma but I can't seem to find all the others. If you're wondering which ones I mean, I mean the hi res complete versions of the thumbnails used on the official street fighter website.
Hi all. I read that its possible so made some research and found WinSIXAXIS. I tried installing it but couldn't get it working . So, can anyone tell me how to get it working? Thanks
Yeah, Sagat is really good. IMO though, he's very similar to the Shotokan fighters.
Noob characters? I guess they're not hard to use but like I said, all characters are balanced. The only difference is the difficulty.
Fei Long is cool but I feel that he's quite limited. Like, you can only link the close standing fierce punch into a combo so can't start off any combos that starts with a low hit. Maybe I'm not using him properly.
