I've tried doing that before with netKar namie, never worked . I've looked into the player files of PRO with notepad and they look waay more complex than the ones in namie.
102 to get me full view of the mirrors in the tin tops. You can usually use around 80 for the winged single seaters to see both mirrors but I'm using a 21'' monitor so I think it differs. The bigger the monitor, the smaller FOV you can use. I think if you use a wide FOV (between 90-100) its good because you get a good combination of feeling of speed and you can see a lot of the corner when going in not just turning seeing barriers all the way round
I don't use PS. I know that its a logo on its own but like Coca Cola is a logo, there was a font made based on its style so I'm looking for the same thing but with the RS logo.
Well, Forza and GT obviously have much higher detailed cars and tracks. Physics wise, LFS is definitely much better but if I were honest, I've got back in the groove again in Forza and, IMO, they've got a ton of realism in there too. GT, I haven't tried it but I heard that Forza is more realistic than it. Anyway, back on topic, remember that LFS is a developing title . We're still S2 Alpha now and the graphics are pretty good but they will be improved as Eric makes further developments.
I believe that S3 could well look like something Forza or GT or for lower aims, maybe GTR2 or RACE. Just try to remember lads, LFS is still in development . In all departments that really matter in a racing game (Physics, Graphics & Multiplayer code) are still being developed . The physics and multiplayer code are already the finest you can get. Graphics can be improved but the point of all this, is that it WILL get better. All other games like GTR2 or Forza are finished products. True, I remember that when I patched up GTL there a while ago, they improved the physics but it still wasn't amazing.
Big Snow Patrol and Keane fan here . My taste in music is quite varied though, I'm into Linkin Park, Rammstein, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jamiroquai, Zero 7 and a bit of Metallica . I generally like either hard rock, rock, Jazz, Dance and Indie. I've grown quite a liking to indie though
No no, I'm against all that "We said "duck"" stuff and all that. I know this may seem like an indirect insult to you Daj but I don't respect those who do that kind of thing. Thats not what I meant by showing disrespect. I mean, I'm still pondering whether that time I drove with a black car, all black, nothing put on it (perhaps the original league skin appeared slightly but you'd have to stare at the car for a while to see the detail) showed disrespect or showed respect. I understand the side of it where it shows that you're thinking of them but like I said, theres the other side where sim racing is ridiculous compared to some of the great events that can happen in real life.
@Widdow: it has nothing to do with religion . Its just my personal thoughts on the matter
That is F106. If you look at the helmet there, you'll notice that the top of it is Raikkonen's old Mclaren helmet. I also recognise the HUD. Theres a small competition that Mobil 1 are running over here where they have that same game. Shite game really , no realism at all but hey, I'm in it for the prize!
Hi all! something which I've been thinking about for a long time is that, do tribute skins show respect or do they ridicule the importance of a person?. I have, in the past, raced in a league in which my cousin's son had died the same day of the race where I drove a black car to show respect. After doing the race, I felt that perhaps attempting to show respect only showed disrespect to others. Reason why I think it shows disrespect because I try and look at it from afar. Here I am, playing a sim, in real world (or real life if you prefer) terms, which hardly has any importance so am I showing disrespect to the person I'm attempting to show respect to by using a tribute skin in a sim?
Apart from sim racing, I'm also starting to doubt it being used in real racing as well. Its like combining one of the most important events in a person's life comparing to how much of little importance competition is.
Well, I haven't looked at the replay but I will tomorrow . I just want to say, if its happening when you lift off the brakes, I know EXACTLY what you mean. For some weird reason, after you finish braking and let go, the car suddenly decides to really turn in like mad. I found that the best way to avoid this crazy amount of oversteer is to use less brake pressure or to not brake for as long and just the let the corner itself scrub speed off the car so that you can take the corner safely.
Yeah! that guy is sad!. He can't make tracks and then sell them. He doesn't own the licence to the tracks so most likely, he's putting himself in a worse position by saying "give me money for my conversions" because the track owners will whoop his ass about it.
Hi all! well, I got back in the groove with netkar namie again . Great sim, I know LFS is better but its nice to drive the Modena round Imola . Anyway, I've looked everywhere for Suzuka and Monaco (GP4 conversions) but all the links I found were dead . I have quite a collection of tracks for netkar namie in anyone wants to make a trade .
These are the tracks I have:
Adelaide
Albert Park
Blackwood (S1 blackwood)
Brands Hatch GP
Cocomaro
Croft
Crystal Palace
Kartodromo orobico
Donington GP
Falkenberg
Hockenheim (have 2 different versions, one seems to be of higher quality, both are the new Hockenheim)
Imola
Kyalami
Laguna Seca
LeMans
LimeRock (have both standard and chicane versions)
Monza (Like Hockenheim, have 2 different versions, one seems of higher quality, post 01 track)
Mountain Sprint
Mugello
Newbury
Nordschleife (Nurburgring)
Nurburgring (F1 track)
Oulton Park
Oval
Philip Island
Phoenix
Rockingham
Sepang
Silverstone
Spa-Francorchamps (same story as Monza and Hockenheim)
Sugo
Test track (for top speed testing)
Valencia
Zandvoort
Right, quite a list there I think . So if anyone here has Monaco and Suzuka, I would greatly appreciate it if you could upload it somewhere and give me a link or just send it to me . Thanks!
well, tristan, I don't think you can say Fernando and Hamilton are noobs. If you want to say that Hamilton is, then ok but I strongly disagree because if you look at how well Hamilton did in former racing series, he won all of them and to jump into GP2 and win it in his first season, I think Hamilton is something proper. As for Fernando, well, he gave Schumacher a really tough time last year as they both battled it out to the last round and we all know how good Schumacher was. As for Raikkonen and Massa, Massa is doubtful for myself because he's never been spectacular but Raikkonen has raced with Alonso on many occasions. Its just that Kimi was unfortunate to have the flaming Mclaren over the last 2 years while Alonso had the super Renault. Way I see it, Kimi and Fernando are on equal ground and if perhaps one is better than another, it would definitely be Raikkonen. So, suffice to say, they're both very equal but its just that Hamilton has the edge over them.
As for the team mate comparison thing, yes I can say that you can compare drivers from different teams but at the same time, with certain teams, you can't compare them to others.
The Mclaren and Ferrari are equal, its that simple really. Each team have had the edge over the other in some races but overall, they all had their glory days. Thats why I can compare the 4 of them.
The reason why I can't compare other teams against each other is because really, all other teams except perhaps for Williams and Renault, are quite different from each other so it would be unfair to say that Yamamoto is nowhere compared Kovalainen because the Renault is much better than the Spyker.
I know what you mean. I perhaps misworded it . What I was saying is that you can't say that Button is worse than Massa for example, same way you can't say that Massa is worse than Button but you can compare the Mclaren and Ferrari drivers since their cars are pretty equal so as I said, out of the top 4 runners, I believe Hamilton is the best. Reason why I said that the only real way to rely on knowing who's a better driver is to compare him to his team mate, I meant that for the lower teams because we all know that there is no chance in hell that a team like Honda will win a race this year since Honda only have 1 point. So, thats a good example for you for comparing team mates, I've come to the conclusion that Barrichello is more talented than Button because as Button has been with Honda now for 4 years to completely understand the car while its only Barrichello's 2nd year with the team and he's equaling Button's performance. True, Barrichello spent a few years with Ferrari where he was able to learn things from Schumacher but still, Barrichello was nowhere last year compared to Button and now he's really giving Button a run for his money.
So with a top team like Mclaren or Ferrari, the drivers have the ability to win races because they have winning cars so whoever scores highest out of them, I'd say it would make him the best driver (out of the 4 ).
The logic of comparing team mates also applies for the top runners, however, its more like you're comparing 4 team mates than just 2.
Blackout, you do seem to think I'm a bit thick to think that when the car has problems or car performance, you can still go quick. I understand this, I'm not the brightest guy around but I'm smart enough to know that .
See, really, the best way to judge a driver is to see how he does against his team mate. For example, I would suggest that Sato is better than Davidson because Sato sometimes can get into Q2 while Davidson rarely does and in race performance, Sato nearly always out performs Davidson. So this means that Sato is a better driver than Davidson, meaning that he is quicker, more consistent. I wouldn't necessarily say has better racecraft because mr. TV director doesn't like showing the battles some of the lower field drivers do so I can't tell.
Anyway, this has gone waay off topic. I've proven the statistics with Hamilton and I'm not a fan of the whole crazy media stuff myself but I do respect Hamilton as a driver and so far, as a person as well .
Theres something cool that I found out last night too . Now, I swear to you that I heard this from my brother who used to race in a local F1 Challenge championship a few years back whom he met a former Mclaren engineer there and became friends with him . Anyway, this friend of his has a friend that is still involved with Mclaren now so he's hanging out with Hamilton and Alonso . Anyway, point of this is that this friend that still works for Mclaren told his friend who told my bro (I know it sounds confusing ) that apparently, Hamilton is a really really bright guy or to put it in his own words "really with it". Now, all F1 drivers are smart, they have to be when you're racing at that level but considering that this engineer has been working with Mclaren for quite some time, he came across drivers like Raikkonen, Montoya and not to forget to mention, the test drivers as well like Paffet and De La Rosa. So, theres something special about Hamilton
