Server behaviour
General server behaviour
*a necessary element for an enjoyable league is gentlemanly and friendly behaviour. Any form of insult or aggressive behaviour is prohibited on the server and will be met with a warning and if repeated, will be met with a harsh response of being kicked and if further repeated, will be banned from that round and if after the round is complete, the driver will be stripped of all his points. Any repetition of this behaviour will directly lead to the penalties system as from Stage 3.
Chatter
*There are no rules against chatter, its nice to discuss a racing event with fellow racers, however, any time when the league administrator is calling out drivers to join the grid for any of the races, chatter is prohibited. Chatter is also prohibited during the scrutineering process. There will be some more leniency regarding this rule but if its repeated more than two times, the league administrator will start to enforce the penalty system. After the league administrator states that the session is finished (by saying "thank you all", "session complete" or "session finished"), drivers may converse with one another until the following session.
Race conduct:
Overtaking
*When passing someone on the inside you must have your car at least half way along side to have the right of way.
*If you try to pass around the outside then you must be fully along side the other car, otherwise the leading driver is entitled to take the normal racing line.
Defensive driving
*The driver who is leading is entitled to drive defensively. This is to protect their position. Other drivers should be aware of this.
* Drivers should not block the cars behind.
Expansion: The lead driver is entitled to make one move to maintain their position and one move to return to the normal racing line before every turn.
Re-entering track
*If for any reason your car leaves the track you should look around to see if there are any oncoming racers before rejoining.
*If for any reason your car is flipped, either on its side or roof, you must spectate immediately.
Car Damage / Fuel
*If your car is damaged or low on fuel, remember to keep off of the racing line and be prepared to give way to other racers. It's a good idea to use your hazard lights.
Contact
*Rubbing and tapping are all parts or everyday racing, so these are allowed as long as it doesn't harm anyone's race or gain you an advantage. Due to occasional lag, small taps may cause a major crash, so be careful. Its preferred that drivers make their best efforts to avoid it.
*If you gain an advantage from making contact with another driver, you must allow that driver back through. If this is not possible then it's down to your integrity to apologise.
Lapping
*Backmarkers will be lapped by other cars, this is an everyday occurrence.
*Other drivers should be treated with the same respect as drivers you are racing.
*When you receive a Blue Flag it is your responsibility to wait until there is a safe place to allow the car behind to pass. The usual allowance is three Blue Flags or in the case of LFS, Three Corners.
Pitting
*When pealing away from the racing line, care should be taken as to the cars around you, make sure your path is clear to the left or the right. If possible, signal your intentions with the use of your cars indicators.
*Do not cross the pit entry line. In attempting to preparing the car to be within the pit entry line, if there is a driver directly behind, the driver pitting must submit his position before entering pits as to avoid any possible confusion to the driver behind, resulting in an accident.
*Do not cross the pit exit line and be prepared to give way as drivers on track have right of way.
Deliberate Corner Cutting
*Cutting a corner, or deliberately running into tyres on a chicane will not give the driver an advantage. Keeping the car on the track at all times is vital to clean racing.
After The Race
*Slow down to a suitable and steady speed, remain in your current positions and return to the pitlane, park in a single file line in the pitboxes and wait for the instruction to
leave/spectate.
*The top 3 drivers must line up next to each other on the start finish line.
*Do Not pit straight away, or crash into other racers.
Yellow Flag
*When presented with a yellow flag, no overtaking is allowed unless you are overtaking the drivers involved in the incident that has caused the yellow flag.
Incident Report
*If you wish to report an incident after the race, please do so by sending a private message to the league administrator. To be fair to the drivers involved in the incident or being reported, the league administrator will give a chance for the reported driver to explain himself. Alongside 3 other marshalls, the league administrator will investigate.
Please cut out the incident in the mpr with
mprEdit.
