I haven't upgraded my 68 Camaro since the RM, yet, but I remembered it having handling far greater than I would have expected from such an old boat. That being said, the P4 is a bonified racing machine.
Anyone still watching the series? They're beginning to bond a little more, production quality has gone up a little... it has gotten better. And the music is much better, they had some Dropkick Murphys at the end of the 9th episode.
Still a little stale, especially compared to the UK show, but it's improving, at least. The biggest problem right now is the humour. It's so... American.
Damn! Why didn't I think of that? I have no issues modding my Camaro (already RMed) to be competitive... I instead opted to drive the P4 which was not really fast enough... tough victories.
Totally agree with the gravel physics. Only experience with them so far is that license test (A-level?). They're appauling in the truest sense of the word. Tarmac physics are decent. Realistic enough to convey the point, enjoyable even. The RX-7 I found a blast to drive, even in stock form. Same for the Miatas.
Why are people surprised about the Hybrid? The 918 concept was from the very beginning. And what's this passenger talk? This is a race car concept, there is no passenger...
hahaha nice. I drove it in a bone-stock totally unmodified 1967 Ferrari 330 P4. Even left the Racing Hards on it. The saving grace was the poor performance every AI car has in the final corner at Deep Forest, whereas I flew through there quickly. That enabled me to keep ahead down the front straight; the 7 could only manage to get beside me into the braking zone, never past me... and I made sure that he was always on the outside into the corner, too.
That's the one. The first time I tried the 7 started first so I wound up a good 8 and something seconds back at the finish. I gave up and moved on to the second race (Monaco) hoping that the 7 wouldn't be there. Fortunately it started behind me so it wasn't an issue, but the problem I had was catching up to the other 330 P4 that was 5 seconds out in first after the first lap. Made it in the chicane out of the tunnel on the last lap.
After that intensely fought battle resulting in a victory, I gave Deep Forest another go and after a couple tries I got it. The 7 started third, so I figured that if I could get past it before it got to the front I was in the clear and I just had to keep him behind me. That proved a difficult thing to achieve, but I managed.
Agreed; however, the technology still has some way to advance. It's viable, technically, but not economically. Yet. Definitely the best solution for mobile applications, though.
As for non-mobile/building applications, there are a vast variety of fantastic options. Again, not all of them are cost-effective yet, but many are in the long term.
Jordan brings up a point I've been banging on in my Environmental classes: The industrialization of a country has a huge impact on the environment, yes, but this can be minimalized. Some people are trying to get developed countries to give money to developing ones for greener development, others saying that developing countries should be mandated to do it themselves, blah blah blah. What needs to happen is for developed countries (or anyone with the resources) to further advance technologies to get them to a point that is not only economically viable for us, but for developing countries as well. Throwing money at developing countries won't solve the problem. What's that old saying, "Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he will eat for a lifetime" or some such?
