Agreed. The graphic engine itself I really don't think needs work (aside from the horrid track shadows) unless it is necessary for dynamic weather/day cycles.
LFS is the best looking simulator out right now, IMHO. I was pretty disappointed with iR, personally. Looks pretty in screenshots, but in motion it just didn't have any personality at all.
What LFS needs, in my opinion, is more attention paid to existing tracks and cars to bring them up to the new standard, and more interesting tracks/venues/locales.
I think that's because that's the way most teams thought about it. I say on the next generation of vehicles it will be more integrated (Audi at least ran it into the wing support).
I still think the 'big honking fin' was the wrong move by the ACO. Sure, it'll help keep the car in line in some situations, but the event that the car does get sideways it will only make the flipping problem worse. What they should have done was mandated a horizontal fin (like an air splitter) down the side of the car between the front and rear wheels. That would create a high pressure zone above the fin (when the car is sliding), keeping the car down. All the big fin will do is act as a lever (high on the car) to let the air roll the body enough to flip the car over.
I guess the ACO just wanted to mask billboards as a safety feature...
Actually, the weather and shoe choice never affect my decisions. I have one pair of shoes, rain or shine (except, of course, for my dress shoes, which only come out when the suits do). Also, I don't go around 'trying not to offend people.' I say what I feel should be said. Just because someone has a different moral opinion doesn't make theirs wrong, it just makes it different. That's the thing about morality (and ethics)- there is no right or wrong. Life is not black and white. Frankly your world view is pretty sad, to me. I kind of feel bad for you (but not in that 'I'm a good person and want to help' way, more in the 'I'm damn glad I'm not like you' way).
I did say 'I think you're wrong,' just in different words.
Congrats on not giving in to sexual urges. I hope your sex life is full of sacredness and fulfillment... or whatever. I feel no shame in the occasional tug. My sex life is also very fulfilling; for both myself and my mate.
Think what you wish, but I know several girls who have been involved in a complete non-sexual way with the adult entertainment industry (photographers, media, etc). You don't have to be engaged in any sexual acts to be involved in the industry. Of course, that being said, 99% of people's first thoughts (admittedly, mine included) about someone in the industry may be less than wholesome. That doesn't mean that everyone in the industry is a slag, though.
I fail to see your point. Just because you don't want to be in a relationship with a porn star doesn't mean it's morally degrading. If a porn star enjoys what they're doing and doesn't have any issues with it, what right do you have to say otherwise?
The fact that I, personally, don't want to date someone who has sex on camera for a living doesn't make me hypocritical, either, because my stance on the matter is that of personal choice. In other words, I don't want to date someone who does it, but I in no way think those that do it are morally wrong. They just have a different set of values than I do. And that, again, does not make it morally degrading. Something can only be degrading if someone is ashamed of what they are doing. An absence of shame means an absence of degradation. Remember, your views are not the views of everyone else.
Ironic, since you're one of the biggest ones on the forum.
As an aside, a neutral button would be a great idea for the sequential/paddle boxes. I'm under the impression that many race cars have this to quickly get back to N after a spin/stall instead of having to go through the gears.
Are you serious? You're comparing your deleted post on an internet forum bitching about the lack of a car to him? You are seriously delusional.
We haven't got the car. Big deal. Your post got deleted. Big deal.
This is not a place of free speech, this is a privately operated internet forum. Those who control it can censor it however the hell they want to.
It would be nice to get a patch, or more information, or more teasers, yes. Doesn't change the fact that it's not the end of the world that we haven't, and it doesn't in any way compare to Ceauşescu. That, sir, was in bad taste.
What's left to answer, really? Scawen has said on multiple occasions what he is working on and why it is taking so long. I don't like how long it's taking either, but there's nothing left to discuss on the matter, really.
That's a pretty poor argument, IMO. This is racing, not a beauty pageant. The R18 was designed to win, and Audi will do everything they can to do just that. The car is 100% within the rules. Also, I love it. It's ugly as a pig in shit, but I love it because of its ruthless functional design. Form is 100% function, nothing it dolled up. That's the way a race car should be. In some cases it may result in an attractive package, in some cases not; but either way, the R18 is menacing and I love it.
For the record, DD, don't take my post as a negative. I just can't fathom waiting that long, personally. That takes a lot of restraint. I made the move the second time we were together... So glad I did though <3
I really do wish that old FXO would be brough back... Some mesh updates and such to bring it up to current (XF/XR) S2 standards with a rollcage and slicks as a touring car. LFS Sorely needs a touring car, the XF GTR just doesn't cut the mustard there.
This made me laugh... Firstly because your phrasing is gold, second because there's a Grimsby not too far from me, right beside Hamilton and.. well, let's just say no one would miss Hamilton were it to be 'earthquaked.'
