Does anyone know of a way to test latency to a server. I have a satellite connection, and am told latency can be as high as 0.5 seconds. Is there a utility that I can run to test what it actually is to any given server? My pings are outrageous, 500 to over 1000ms when I list the servers, but when I go into one I don't see any time difference while I spectate. I haven't tried to race online with it yet.
race length: 3+ hours
car classes: multiple classes
start procedure: rolling
full course yellows w/safety car: yes
car types: race
qualifying: timed session
car skins: team skins, series number plates
points system: every position gets some points
Yeah I hear ya, that's an all too common argument for not adding more classes in LFS. I just thought it would get us one step closer to an "AMLS like" event, that's all I meant. Then we'd be set for when we get our Prototype cars.
Think about it this way. Currently, only half of the field competes for the podium as it is. With the same number of cars being split into two classes, the latter half of our current field could be competing for a podium in their class. The number of cars/traffic would be the same and add a bit more challenge.
Heading into Saturdays' 8th and final round of the International GT Championship, Land Of The Free Racing sits second in the standings and looks forward to a strong finish in this inaugural event.
Good Luck team!
Lets try to keep the thread clean this bump, OK guys?
8:17 am... today, my 47th birthday, lost most of my hair (hair to the middle of your back doesn't look so cool when your part is 5" wide) But I am rollin' a wake-n-bake right now, soon I'll be buzzed like my hair...
