The old days for me are just 9 months ago. I think all it takes is a bit of activity, which in this country seems to have a cycle.

@COOP201, Last night we had nearly a full server from around 10:30 EST till? I fell asleep at the wheel and woke up DC'd.
Quite a few of the guys in this thread were there at differnt times.

No, not us. Chops does, I think.

We did host our own Summer Series and have plans for a another couple open series in the coming weeks.

We also have an open team night every other week end, the public is always more than welcome and especially those interested in joining our team.

Dude, get a clue. I did rub tires with you, no accident! That's not what slowed you down that much. You weren't close enough to pass me during or before turn one. I had no choice, I'm not about to pull over in the middle of the chicane, thats racing. Check the replay, Der_Dude hit me in the back end exiting the chicane, lap 39 not 40. That's what slowed him down. He said he had problems passing backmarkers. Noone else had any problems passing me, including him until that point.
A 5 second incident? I think not. He might be 6 seconds per lap faster than I am, but it's certainly not all right there in the chicane.

As Banshee noted earlier, we do have a VSK server.
If we can get a server here in the states for no more than say $375.00 per year, we'll probaby bite on that in March '07.

Not us, thats why we banned him.

Wether you all know it or not, there are actually folks out there who think they own the right to police other folks servers because they have been a part of LFS for years.

Case in point, a guest who was banned from our server included this statement in his attempted debate as to wether his ban was justified.

I'm so pleased with the response this thread has gotten.

Disregarding any existing leagues...

Lets move forward in the LFS community, a step beyond leagues.

I propose we establish a new North American association. Name it something simple and direct, not specific to a particular challenge or car selection.
Then, different series' or events regardless of cars, or even length, (endurance) could be presented by the association.
All of these folks and their respective teams would supply servers, manpower and donations for event planning, a website, etc.

What do you all think?

This is starting to look more and more interesting. We could consider a number of races or series' with different cars etc.
