Oh god, did a quick test with the drift BMW... this is indeed heaven. :jawdrop:
Would just want to adjust the steering lock to around 45 degrees, 55 is a bit too nervous even at 900 degs.
We're propably not going to see multiplayer until later next year, so have a cuppa' tea, chill out and atleast try to enjoy the new content and patches we're getting every two weeks.
And that's where the problem is. Rockstar did it with overpricing cars in GTAO, we'll see soon enough will Sony/PD do the same in GT6.
In the good old days we had cheat codes, now there are micro transactions to buy virtual money even in single player games... the corporate greed of modern gaming is cancerous.
They're both still on the same 22nm fab so there shouldn't be much difference in overclocking or power consumption (both use the shitty quality thermal paste between the heatspreader and the actual silicon die) but Haswell is slightly updated with the AVX2/FMA3 instruction set. Haswell is also on the new socket (1150) which would last you longer if you decided to get a newer CPU for the old motherboard in the future.
Over here the price difference between IB/Haswell is so tiny that you might aswell go with the Haswell, of course if there's several tens of euros on the table that might make the older generation worth it.
If GPU is always at 100% it sounds like you're not using vsync anywhere.
It doesn't really work that way, single core performance can be significantly faster in newer generations without having to stress the CPU to 100%. Not to mention the TDP efficiency which shows in the electricity bills.
What I'm wondering is why have the people above/previous page bought last gen (Z77/IB) hardware when Z87/Haswell has already been out for quite a while, were they on some massive discount or something?
AC is what I had in mind. I don't think it exceeds LFS's unique way of delivering precise feedback of what the car is doing, but given how AC is going to have endless content via modding, I'm willing to take that tradeoff gladly as it still feels damn fine and is easily the second best feeling sim out there.
I'm having trouble always overshooting in to corners just a tad too fast with the street cars, somehow the brakes just aren't as effective as I expect them to be.
The wheel has quick release (one screw on bottom) built in itself you numpty, that adapter just allows fitting any standard racing car wheel on it. And again, what does quick release matter... on a freaking sim racing wheel? You also forget to mention, that all that Fanaboy gear costs over twice as much as a T500 with a TH8 shifter and the TM wheel also has belt drive. Fanatec pedals are definitely more advanced. That said, there's nothing wrong with the TM pedals either, they're nuclear bunker solid and the pots are high quality.
@OP £350 including the shifter? Then yeah that's good value, go for it. I paid around 300 euros for my set a year ago and I love it.
