I am thinking about getting the Asus EEE 701 when i have the money in the next couple of weeks.

I dont want it for gaming - i want it because it is ideal for taking on journeys, using in the garden etc.

It is so small and practical, i had a go on one today in Currys.

Has everything i need, Messenger, Internet, Email, Music/Video player etc.

Oops didn't see you already had 4GB of memory....

The Radeon 4870 really is the way to go like JakG said, it is more powerful than the 9800GTX and it has DX10.1!

Just to let you guy's know i am currently trying to get into Icon Racing but have also had a couple of other offers from Herts Racing and Sonic Realm Racing, so hopefully something will be sorted our soon

I have been playing LFS for about 2 years now and i have been improving all the time!

I am not the fastest driver out there but i think i am pretty quick and i am always learning more about how the car(s) setup, race-craft etc.

I feel the time is right to join a team, i feel i am ready to race under a team banner, join in competitions and gain more experience.

At the moment i have been driving on the CTRA Servers.

My main cars are the BF1 and FBMW, but i also race many off the others!

Im English and i live in England (GMT Time), 17 Years Old, Am currently building myself a new PC (Although the one i am using copes online with many cars ), i have 10mb broadband connection and i race with the Logitech G25.

I hope to have a few trial offers

Oh god no!

Hiper's are terrible imho - if you want to blow everything in your pc keep using it.

Hipers, Qtec etc are all big no go areas.

If you re-install all your drivers and it still happens then i would be 100% sure it is your PSU.

The overheating would explain it - the PSU simply is cheapy and probably hasn't got the effeciency or a very capable 12V line.

An OCZ 600watt would be a million times better, wont blow your pc into a thousand bits and isn't too much money.

Dont get the 500watt though - it only has one 4 pin cpu plug

Transit Vans are made for transporting equipment, parcels etc - they are bound to get dented and scraped imho.

The reason why they are the best selling is because they never give up, they just keep on going and going and going.....

Two main threats to LFS:

1) Iracing - have not played it myself but have heard good things about it.
2) netKar Pro 1.0.3 - I know what your thinking, but belive me im a beta tester of it and the improvement over 1.0.2 is amazing - it will be the NKP it should have been at the start!

If you want to run windows on it side by side, stick a copy of XP on.
You could put Vista on but it wont run too smoothly with only 1GB of Ram.

Also not sure about games, but the onboard graphics chip isn't exactly brilliant.

Jack, get a Ford Fiesta (any "new shape" model from 1998 onwards)! A 1.2 or a 1.4 should be fine on insurance.

They look good basic, they have the reliable Zetec engine, Ford themsleves are pretty good with any problems imho, doesn't guzzle petrol and will get you from A to B basically

I plan on getting one soonish (when i have the money), i passed my theory yesterday

As you are getting 4GB of Memory, you should get 64Bit Vista as 32Bit can only use about 3GB of Memory and 64Bit is the future IMHO.

Also you could get a "Black Edition" CPU (eg 2.8GHZ or 3.0GHZ as the price is slightly more) which has an unlocked multiplier - which makes for very easy overclocking when you need some more juice.

You would need a better fan though

Edit:// I agree with Crommi - The new ATI Radeon 4xxx Series does seem very competitive with Performance vs Price.

If your going Vista, you will notice a big improvment with 4GB over 2GB IMHO Vista is more memory hungry than XP. That CPU is very good - get a decent cooler for it and you could overclock it for even more performance in "CPU dependent" games such as LFS
