how about truck racing?

Would it be reasonable to allow a description of the type of racing being held on a particular server.

EG. There is a banger racing server where pretty much anything goes. (However some racers have complained about being booted off)

A BTCC server is being looked at where contact is allowed but not full on wrecking.

I think if the admin of their server could give a short description of whats allowed or not etc.... would be very usefull

I'm no expert but i wonder if a 'tool tip' over the server name could do this?:boing:

The best bit about the early days of BTCC was that there wasn't any aerodynamic alterations, they were exactly the same looking body as the road going cars, no silly wings/splitters etc, it made the racing very close!!

Jeez i'm getting old.

With the best will in the world, these instances are going to happen at sometime.

A lot can depend upon the type of T1. Blackwood is a classic where you can reach high speeds before a tight hair pin. You only have to watch F1 at monza (eg) to see the chaos there, and these guys do it for a living! Yes there are a massive number of clean racers out there, but this is racing, people get pumped up and the adrenalin starts to run and these accidents/incidents will always happen.

On the one hand I've had starts where there has been server lag, next thing you know is a car pops up in front of you and its too late, what can you do?
On the other there are those late brakers going for it, sometimes the gamble works on others, they can wipe you and several out, yes its frustrating but it isn't the end of the world. (is it?)

I posted something similar over on the RCS forum, there is a porblem in that the replays can not be edited, so for a large (ish) race you do have a huge replay file. The only answer is to create your own movies with the relevant overtake/crash in it.

Please correct me if i'm wrong!!
