Yeah, I thought it won't really bring the same laugh we had since it's not "happening right now", no chatting about it and all.
About the music... Each of it's own i say, personally I find the approx 43th DNB/reversing/flashing/shaking drift or whatsoever videos boring, but that's me I think maybe the 'Rupert the bear' is maybe too much i might agree on that Personally neither I would use these on a normal video but this somehow screamed for something mental, so I went a bit mad on this side, sorry to those who almost shot themselves because of that
I'm not sure how it'll turn up for others, we were laughing our arses off while watching it back then, so just a quick, just for lighten things up. Couldn't leave such a replay aside, so i threw something together from it today.

Made a version 2, refined a bit after some races on it while realizing more point for passing would needed to make it more fun.
Changes:
- First turn: rather than the fast right turn, there's a sharp turn to the right which for more braking is required so it creates bigger chance for overtaking.
- Chicane: made it more shaper, need more braking to make it through
- Last turn: Made it to one turn rather than 2, it's an opening corner which starts with 90 degree.
- No LFS-chicane anymore
(Still fought with the maximum amount of objects so it still is as plain as before)
And the Tarmac dds as requested. (No parklot paints, not "border" no anything. Note that the original layout's preview was made with 1024x1024 dds size, but with the same, only lighter)
*E: Oh, yea, it's a bit plain, i'd ran out of objects almost before i even finished with the chalk + bale placings, actually had to remove a few bales. So, excuse me for the voidness.
Sort of an autocross layout I've created recently, someone else might will enjoy it too so I thought I could share it. Layout and the spr in attachment.
Hm? Excuse me, i might have missed something, but by the videos i honestly think he isn't any worse than the so called 'lfs drift pros' we've seen.
I know it's the usual thing here to drag down everyone's skills but it's been a while i've seen significantly really better driving than he had.
Again, i might have missed something and yes, i could skip a few 360's and such and he could have been smoother at some points if i wanted to be really picky. I might be wrong but he is _way_ over the average level and I have to agree that the level 'good' is really low but on the other hand... Don't wanna start something bigger so I won't mention names with whos he's on at least the same level and i haven't seen him ever live to judge properly but I can say at least he's driving wasn't any worse for example than mine, oh well, well we aren't a proper team and my level is also lower than 'good' so that might be why I'm wondering.
Wasn't really directed to you afterall just didn't really understand what did you mean with 'proper team' and if you were sure about that level is low than i will have to start to practice a lot.
To answer your question, (my opinion) Yes this level was enough to get into a team for years already. (For those teams which focus on the level to chose the members)
Well, basically that was the whole round is about, to create an image what you'd imagine/want the next real car to be in LFS
Voted for Niko for a few reasons.
1st: He actually did something
2nd: It's a bimmer!
3rd: God save all in case i would have to pick the next theme
As for the no-car-on-screen case: Well, only entered this round after i saw it's in the rules that you don't even have to edit a car onto the screen, so i just picked the most easiest way when i saw the "Oh, pretty nice flow in the rules, let's see how it goes through"
More exact rules! So if you see me in any rounds, it means i found some cheap tricks to activate.
Grass wouldn't be stupid at all, IMO. You could create any fantasy club circuit you would like, or even kart tracks. for e.g. with some 3rd party program you could "draw" some curves and lines, you set a track width and it generates the track itself for AU. I know this would take a lot of times to make but sure it'd add lots of possibilities to create numerous things.
And the other thing along with this (which would not require this amount of work and time, actually could have been done easily) is a dirt/mud covered (even totally) autocross area from the existing one. That'd add a lot of variety to the rally lovers too without wasting much time. (considering how object oriented programming works) This was suggested a few times already (of course without any success or reply ) by me and from others, but still would love to see this happening one day.
Little modification of one area -> lots of possibilities -> more happy peep -> theoretically more content -> winnage.
Drifting community at its best. Gotta love when someone does something not on the uber-level "you s*ck lulz" engages.
Feel free to correct me if i'm wrong but yet i've failed to see any reason why his driving would suck, i mean ok, he's doing it a bit differently than the usual way, for example he didn't link the first corner with the chicane BUT he did have good lines and throttle control which even the self-claimed so called pros fails sometimes. And for last he is smoother than a lot of people i've seen during the years i played. Does that make his driving/drifitng suck? i don't think so. And.. ABS, ok i have to admit that was weird but oh well we all are different Again, please correct me if i was wrong. I don't say i'm any better so if someone thinks that he s*cks so much, i'd gladly take some drift lessons in LFS from him, honestly.
As for the "noABS" is creating flatspots; LFS has way so many setup options to set up a car for your likings so just adjust your brake force to what you like, i.e. wheels blocking just at fully applied brakes. Blocked wheels can come handy sometimes
Apart from that i think that was quite decent, just be a little more aggressive, at this time i'm specifically referring to the first corner exit so you can carry more speed out of it to link it with the chicane.
If you accept advises from an avarage guy, carry on
Are you loving the fact too that even the race was held 20metres away from them yet they are still saying "SOMETHING did hit Massa's helmet and he's skull got smashed"? Yet the race was held here, seems like we are the last who get know the facts from commentaries. (actually it's the commentary that failed/fails hard). Nice move to try to make an interview with Barichello about Massa BEFORE he even managed to speak with him or even take a look.
And now i won't even start about the high voltage wire theory...
Sad.
Anyway, kinda doubt that Massa will race tomorrow but good to see he's somewhat good, considering what could have happened.
One way to do it there's an option for it in option/view, look function=steer and below there, there's a slider you can change the amount of the head's turning. The second way is (like i did in that) choose the 'ms X' and do it manually by the mouse, did it since the "default" steer setting only follows your hand's movements (ingame) and can't focus other way than the way you are steering.

Heck, even a flat autocross dirt/mud area would be a blast on it's own like a few (even me) were suggested or asked before.
AU tramac -> AU dirt or even BL3 would do it. That would be megafun.
Thanks guys, glad you liked it. Was struggling wether i should do the 2 parts in two separated videos, ended up deciding to do them together. After the first part i wouldn't had gotten any more motivation to do another one so from that aspect it was a good decision. Still not 100% sure this was the best choice though.
