Most bad ass system ever... if you can guess what system that is without Google. You get a cookie.

I would say a lot of it comes down to how we speak. I find it easier to use MM instead of CM in speech because I'll say 10mill rather than 10 millimetres. 1 centimetres is just awkward to use when talking.

Quote from Blade3562 :For Sonett production it was modified for the entire world, because the addition of bumpers required modification of the fiberglass molds.

They were all left hand drive, 4 speed, v4s, front wheel drive cars. Only available in 6 colors! you can tell each year apart in the Sonett IIIs because they changed small details(each year had a different radio/heater control panel for one thing).

Considering buying this car back if I get enough out of it (the red 1988)

Aye, the US was the biggest car market, so if you made a change for US market it was cheaper to make the change for all markets. It is why we all have useless cat converters hanging under our cars. The EU was working on lean running engines, US just said "screw it, glue on a cat", only way to sell a car there was glue on a cat.

Nice little Gol- "Rabbit".

Do you live in a car museum? Only other place I've seen this many nice vehicles is Heritage Motor Centre.

Quote from Blade3562 :Sadly 1973 world wide safety requirements required the addition of those.
They 1970-1972s had these sexy ones. I also like the 1970 grill much more, but these cars are so rare couldn't pass it up.

Wasn't world wide safety requirements, just US safety requirements.

But eye, a lot of vehicles were ruined by those regulation changes. The MG B was butchered by it, had to change from chrome to rubber bumpers and they raised the suspension a few inches with blocks of wood.

Looks like a nice car though, proper gearbox and everything. Shame we don't seem to have any of them over here.

That would look so much better without stupid bumpers. Ah well. It is a nice clean example. No doubt someone will be happy to take it off of your hands.

I got the Max Payne Collection... although I added them to the cart one at a time... I didn't think the bundle was good value for money.

Quote from Bose321 :I was surprised to find it at a local Dutch store actually. I got the one without the mouse. This is only 7 Euro more expensive than the one I got, sounds like I got ripped off again.

But you supported your local economy. You're the reason someone gets to keep their job.

Quote from Scrabby :Lol, I don't see anything near a Ferrari in this thread. Or it was a troll action!

I'm seriously considering putting a nitrous installation in my driftcar. It's an easy way to gain more power and isn't very expensive. Just the refill's now and then and maybe a new bottle when the current one is done.

And I just want to be able to say: See my nawz?

If you don't care about branded NAWZ bottles, you can get bottles for cheap from places like BOC.

Quote from Bose321 :That's true.

Too bad it has shitty Lag/fag-droid instead of iOS.

On the other hand - it has WiFi.

Being a user of Android (Samsung S2) and iOS (iPhone 5). All I use the iPhone for is a phone and to pick up e-mails. I use the Android for all sorts. Not sure if it is because I don't like the App Store or what, but on the plus it does mean I have battery when I need it with the iPhone.

Quote from CheerioDM :Are you a biker?

I'm not sure I get what lead you to this conclusion, but no, I haven't been on a bike for about 10 years. If it was the cage reference, they literally fitted Defenders for NAS market with external cages.

Since getting twin display back in my life I've been changing wallpapers almost daily. My collection of wallpapers from the last 7 years is now useless as they are all 1680x1050.

Quote from Scrabby :Well, Japanese cars and safety.... They're basicly tinfoil so I don't really want to have a bad crash in one, I'll take my E36 for that.

I find it indeed really strange, in a country where in allot of states you can do basicly anything to your car and keep it street legal and still, those cars are banned because of that. Ah well, /firstworldproblems.

Just got my new stiffer springs, so car will handle a bit better. On some occasions I found the stock ones to soft for pure track use.

Just still waiting for those new lower control arms. Shifter is fully mounted now, works like a treat, hope to make a video soon of it in action.

Those vehicles had safety standards to start with, that is the problem. There is some domestic market protectionism in place, but all you have to do is try and carry a jap car door to understand why so many were banned from the US, I was shocked at how light the doors on my Surf (4Runner in the US of A, strange that these things were allowed in) were compared to those on my Ford Escort, they were a quarter of the weight while having electric windows. No roll over protection, no side impact protection, your face tends to be the crumple zone.

Land Rover Defenders fell foul of US safety standards, LR made them compliant (is why all US vehicles had cages), so the US gov't just changed the standards that made it financially impossible to retrofit into the Defender.

Italian's only great engine from that huge van called Jumper. Also light on fuel.

Serviced regularly with 0 to none rust and a recommendation from service as the best car in rusting protection department from Italy.

For a 115HP and a 255Nm engine acceleration is rather brutal if you take it as just a normal car with 1265kg and air-conditioning. It's a bargain to buy next to Golf, Focus, Astra or Leon and it's far roomier and quicker than any of them on the inside and more muscular on the outside.

Share exp if you have one already.

You sound as though you're trying to justify a bad purchase a little too much. Care to admit to anything?

Quote from PMD9409 :They are correct when they say cars don't see them. That's not when they are in packs. When they are alone, cars can be serious dicks toward single riders. It's definitely not uncommon. You're making a bad comparison to be honest.

I drive a van for work with no rear windows. I regularly get bikers sit exactly in the rear of the vehicle and so close I cannot see them. Usually I might catch a glimpse of a shadow or something similar to let me know there is a ****tard behind me.

"I didn't see you?" You're damn ****ing right I didn't. Don't ride like a **** and people will be able to see you.

What Gabe is doing is to try and break free of Microsoft's stranglehold on PC gaming. Things will be slow at first, but losing compatibility with older games is nothing new, it has been happening on PC for long enough and consoles have been doing it since the 80s.

Any old games I want to play are on Steam and Valve are shovelling a lot of money into porting them all over to Linux/MacOS. I will be taking the plunge into SteamOS when it is released and I doubt I'll go back to Windows if it does all I ask of, an ability to play my Steam Library and the ability to carry out basic computing tasks (browse web, YouTube, play music, etc.).

Quote from dawesdust_12 :

500 people is a fairly large "no one" plays. Especially considering it's a late sunday night for the majority of LFS' users.

1, I would say most of those users are demo users.
2, 500 users is insignificant considering how many "racers" there are in LFS. 0.04% of users are active. That is, statistically speaking, no one.

[edit: using the figures in that screenshot, the number of active users is now only 0.03%]
