One of the fastest guys in LFS driving in the biggest race LFS - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mtVxyldnP1A Oh actually that wasn't in the race, that was his WR lap on one of the hardest combos in the game.

Quote from S.E.T.H :like i said, all of them ignored your post and they are still talking like ''how can it give you advantage, i dont get it '' and bla bla lol.

none of them really tells me why should it not be removed in HOTLAP & ONLINE mode and should be available in somewhere like TEST-SETUP ENVIRONMENT like they say its not a view but just a helper to build sets?

because i am sure most of those fake hotlaps are made with force mode on. i am sorry you guys

Because hotlap mode uses tyre warmers and some sets are made just for one lap with the tyres at a certain temperature, the reason it should still be online is because it's convenient to able to just press F and see how the car is behaving with a setup you just received etc. The last and final reason is there is no REASON to move it because it doesn't give you an advantage so it's pointless to remove it from online and hotlap mode, there is no reason to remove it. I wouldn't really care if it was removed because i don't use it for the view or for making setups but why should it be removed from some modes because 1 person despite people that have played for years have told him it's give no advantage says so?

I'll tell you what, why don't we get you and one of the top drivers that use cockpit view on track, you with F mode and see who uses more of the track? When your on the track you don't look where your wheels are, you just KNOW where they are after a while.

Just use what your most comfortable with, if your more comfortable with F mode use it, if cockpit mode then use that, i've tried a few custom views but always went back to cockpit because it was better for me.

Quote from S.E.T.H :you can see much better where the tires are, and abuse the track to its very limits.

you can see the way better, with better sight

you can gain advantage in race with it. that you can see better, find places among cars to pass.

generally, better sight gives you advantage, it adds around 40% more sight. i myself did quarter of a second faster times with it.

one mouse player (lagger) told that he was gaining advantage with this mode too in this thread. he is s2 licensed and registered in 2008. but everyone ignored him and noone wanted to give him a hearing.

Like i said earlier if your used to cockpit view then it doesn't matter what so ever, yes you can see the tyres but experienced players know the paramiters of the car in cockpit view and hit every apex and drive the tracks limits you can watch some of my and joes hotlaps if you like (need s2) and you'll see that you can drive a tracks limits in cockpit mode, i've been playing the sim since 2007 and ive come across lots of fast drivers that use different types of views but it all comes down to skill and preference and infact imol is the only person ive ever heard uses force mode.

Quote from Bob Smith :Because it's damn amusing. I'm sure I've read this before years ago, although back then it was about wheel view, rather than force "mode".

If you're faster with it on, that's great, but I assure it offers no more advantage to changing the FOV or any other camera related setting. Some people even race with the chase cam. We may mock them for being childish and breaking immersion but to be fair, they do have better vision around the car, so as long as they don't crash into me, I really don't care.

Nobody tell this guy about button clutches, macros or hacks. Then he might even have a point and it wouldn't be quite entertaining then.

It does give you a better view of the track, yes but it doesn't make any difference with the top guys who explore the tracks limits to the edge anyway and have been using cockpit view for years, ive tried it myself but after so long using cockpit it didn't feel right. Theres alot of things you can do in lfs that you couldn't do in rl so just get on with it. If you feel more comfortable/faster then use it, if you don't want to then learn the cars paramiters in cockpit mode.

Although IMOL is very fast i think im right in saying (i don't know i've not tried it) that the reason he's getting the edge on some of the WR's he's beaten is due to the tyre warming? Some of the WR's he beat didn't have it. Not saying this in offence imol, still awesome laps which you may beat without tyre warming anyway.

Why are harnesses bad in road cars Jack? I've seen the aftermath of a few crashes in road cars (albeit fast ones) where a harness has saved the drivers life. Not that i'd put one in my current car but it's down to personal preference and opinion.

But In the second half of the season wasn't Rubens winning and Jenson wasn't? It wasn't that the car suddenly became slower than the red bulls just Jenson wasn't as good in the second half of the season than he was in the first.

If Lewis did what Mark did most drivers would just turn into him, because they know he'll get the blame.

I think the problem was they sent Jenson and Lewis out too close together.

My comment wasn't aimed at schumacher was just a general comment. If you look at the people who are consistently being driven "into" some names crop up quite alot regardless of who's passing them, i've never seen lewis turn into someone, squeeze them onto the grass or generally think he owns the track because he was infront, he gives space and can concede when a position is lost which is not what can be said about some of the drivers there. I think the problem is he expects people to give him the room he gives other people, you've got to say he's a fair driver. Like when him and button have had a few dices, both have given each other (just) enough room.

I also think most of his accidents have been due to the driver infront not paying attention, if you saw a car diving down your inside in your mirrors, would you turn into the corner and take the apex?

I agree in this race Lewis was at fault for the incident with Massa but seems pretty weird he's been run into by quite alot of people on the grid, looks like a driver under threat and worried about his seat next year, i think he has more issues than Lewis tbh.

Kobayashi was a bit different and Lewis actually came out and took responsibility for it, which isn't what other drivers do.

Here's a point, when have you seen Lewis crash into someone whilst they were overtaking him?
