Please fill in the poll, it's for an Economics report due for tomorrow. I've had months to do it (well, 5 weeks) but I hate Economics and amn't taking it, so have put in no effort. However, I really should throw something together, so please help with this.
I remember NEXT used to do a toy bluelight for a boys bedroom, blue swirly beacon for a boys room. Needed to be plugged into the mains but can't be that hard to convert.
I don't understand how internet is (or not having it rather) can be called scary. Some, myself included, would call it beneficial, as I find myself being regularly couped up in the back room visiting LFS, Facebook, MSN and such instead of being outside and doing fun stuff such as socialising. I can't understand it sometimes.
Wheres the petition to get rid of the government and have a Royal Family that don't screw the country then reap the benefits whilst stealing all our money through tax one way or another?
100kb/s on a good day, normal day the Internet doesn't work or it is at slower speeds than dialup speed (about 30kb/s), bad day = no Internet. Stupid TalkTalk. Everything takes ages, I can eat my tea and still some YouTube vids aren't buffered fully.
Tristan is there some rule that means you can slag off every other racer person because you are one too?? Surely have a little respect for the guy, you can't deny he was (one of) the best in his time. Well. I suppose one to their own, or something.
Also visit the Jim Clark room in Duns if you are passing, nice museum-like room. Wouldn't recommend making a long journey just to see it though, unless you are a fanatic, it's not huge, but it's good enough to burn an hour or two.
Can't find a new monitor on ebay, all I get is glass screens, which I will also need as my screen already had a few chips in it.
It is a Toshiba P100-434 laptop with a 17" screen. Bought it from PC World 2 years ago and my Dad failed to buy insurance at the same time
I have attached pictures of the monitor, and there aren't any severe cracks on the monitors, just a few chips from months before, which suggests it has been hit on the lid of the laptop. I have been able to turn it on and get past passwords and I even managed a Print Screen. The Print Screen was my normal desktop, so it isn't software trouble I don't think. When turned off, it leaves a stain (like a plasma TV burn) on the monitor (see attached pic). As you can see, the left quarter is still visible, and there is a main circle where the crack appears to have started from, however when a finger is run along it, there is no crack on the glass.
See what you make of the pictures and ask more questions if needed.
I have found out it is a Toshiba TruBrite® WXGA+ TFT display 17" screen it uses. Can't find any spares on the Toshiba website, or on ebay. Like I said, I can only get glass screens for around £100+.
