I had an awesome race last night @ nurb Gp. GT3 cars, i was in the p4/5 and the 2 infront were in the z4.. For 6 laps it was flat out bumper to bumper.. I eventually passed when the lead z4 made a mistake.. (Going to upload the race tonight)

No problems with police at all.. If it passes our yearly test (MOT) then its legal.

The vents in the wheel arches are to reduce the buildup of high pressure causing the front to lift up at high speed, adding these vents stopped it.

As for the site, its not my host, i dont have the password to get on it any more and the files afe not backed up so im stuck, unless i re-do everything again which i cant be arsed to do.

I put the little spoiler on also to work with the big spoiler.

I added the skirts today and the cutouts on the wings to help releave the high pressure in the wheel arches. ive got some more vents to cut in the rear.

I cant update the site any more as i dont have access to it.

i cut some holes and attached more shit to my car

i did spray them with cleaner and kept changing through the gears but it didnt really make any difference

looks like he's just gunna have to save for a standalone shifter.

After a little more experimentation we found that each gear selection selects either 4th or 3rd. So 1st, 3rd and 5th all select 3rd, 2nd and 5th select 4th and reverse didnt select anything.

Sequential shift selected 1st (pushed forward) and nothing (pulled back)

I didnt realise but the switches i was talking about were actually potentiometers. We double checked the connections aswell, so using a multimeter we checked the circuit between the length of all wires. Then we plugged everything in and checked the plugs were connected correctly all came back finez

The only thing we couldnt rule out was the 2 pots and the pcb.

So i need the potentiometers i think.. Any ideas?

I managed a 7:59 with the f40 so id suspect the 458 to be a bit faster.

My friend has a g25 shifter which is dying, it wont select 1st and 3rd, we worked out its the little switch wires which are all buggered, we have replaced the wires and tried to fix it which does work for about an hour.

Does anyone know where we can get any replacement switches or a 2nd hand shifter?

found it now, but i cant join, says your in a race but i cant join it yet the server is getting more populated lol

when i start my server now it keeps saying no responce from AC central server, retrys about 4 times then quits

I take my car around croft quite regulaly, and i can say i get an equal enjoyment from both sim and real life, but nothing replaces the in your seat of your pants feeling you get when you are actually there.. The sweatyness (although the e30 around snoopys nub last night had me dripping) the sounds, smells, the way your helmet feels on your noggin when cornering all make real driving that much more demanding.

Ill have a tinker and see what i get.. It might be a case of manually doing the server restart rather than letting it do it, at least i can control the laps that way.

I think 3/4 laps at the larger tracks isnt bad, id aim for about 15 mins racing 10 qualifying and 5 booking.

Most of the "kiddies" cant do more than 2 laps without some ****up anyway lol.

Fordie; ill be home for about 5pm so expect the server to be up at 6 and ill be on till 12. Plenty of time for racing

I know the gtc lotus, both gt3's and the p4/5 make for an excellent field.

Edit: tristan, i only use official tracks, what do you think a decent number would be? 6laps? Bearing in mind id like to try get a race every hour at least from booking to booking. Keeps people interested that way. Thats one reason i had only 3/4 laps before, so a session took approx 30 mins.

Im going to be putting my server up tonight for a couple hours.. Anyone got ideas for cars they wanna use? Otherwise it will just be random.

it will automatically rotate between 6 tracks.
