I've tested the live MPR with flushing times and that works as described.

One trivial thing to note is that the replay-viewing instance is reporting 'MPR_BLANK' with each flush when all the cars have left the track and you have clicked the >| button.

More substantially, I've also found that the key-repeat effect for held-down keys is no longer working.

**Season 3 Round 4** - *The results are in!*

https://piranmoto.co.uk/events/30

A festival of the crossover this week produced spectacular carnage in amongst some amazing, hard-fought races.

Still on top for a *third* week in a row is OK's **Rauno**, equalling the current PiranMOTO DD record - congratulations! Can he break the record? He won with a margin of 40 points this week, so it'll take some doing to stop him!

2nd place goes to PM's own **Jam 616**.

3rd place is claimed this week by **RD2**.

Tag Event #1 results are in!

Thanks to all participants of our tester event - it's safe to say we learned a lot from an event setting that were not apparent from sessions on the server! More on future events and their formats to follow.

The honours for this event go to multiple DD winner **RD2** who dominated the event, and scored 1,759 on the best of his *21* runs!

2nd place goes to PiranMOTO's own **Jam 616**, who scored 969 (albiet on a longer run with fewer chasers).

The final spot on the podium is claimed by Race Green's **Mandula**, with 842 points.

Congratulations to the podium!

Still on top this week is OK's **Rauno**, this time with a much safer margin than last week, and taking 7 wins on the way! He may need to watch his mirrors closely next week however, after a beautifully-executed pit manoeuvre took out half of the field in a wild cascade!

2nd place goes to PM's own **Jam 616** with 4 wins.

3rd place is claimed by RDSR's **Ephwurd** for the second week running.

**Season 3 Round 2** - *The results are in!*

https://piranmoto.co.uk/events/28

This week saw an invasion of new blood at the start, higher numbers, and with it a sudden loss of T1 caution. DD Racing through T1 is always a high-stakes gamble but this week changed the odds significantly, with many a seasoned veteran failing to use enough caution to secure any points early on.

Back on top after a week's absence, OK's Rauno claims victory by a single point!

2nd place goes to TRR's Salminen on his first appearance.

3rd place goes to last week's winner, RDSR's Ephwurd.

https://piranmoto.co.uk/events/27

This week sees a return to the top-step for RDSR's Ephwurd, taking 6 wins on the way and beating his closest rival by 55 points!

2nd place goes to MRc's KIG on his first time out with a hatrick of wins... despite missing the first round entirely!

3rd place goes to FLYING ET who secured back-to-back wins in the deadly wooded crossover to edge out 4th place by just 5 points.

Quote from Eclipsed :Actually with slickmod I participated in a race with FXR in BL RX with hybrids - they are waaaaay to soft and turns into silicone after like 3 laps. Knobblies would be even worse, but of course that would be a problem only on tracks with paved parts.

Awwww Frown

Mind you, the only paved part on the whole of the grass server is the little patch in the bullring Wink

Quote from Eclipsed :While FXR could use some new tyre type for rallycrossing - like grooved slicks or hybrids with harder compound rubber.

Give me knobblies on an FXR or give me death! Er, I mean, '+1' Wink

Scawen: I asked a while back about the possibility of using the kerning work you did to offer a monospaced font in insim buttons - you asked me to remind you when a patch was in the offing, so here is that reminder on the off-chance it's not a distraction too far.

This week we have a new winner! Congratulations to OK's **Rauno** for securing the top-step this time, on his 3rd podium in a row.

2nd place goes to MRc's **TimDC** who fought Rauno hard for the first 6 rounds. This is Tim's 6th podium in a row!

3rd place goes to OK's **Vilix**, securing a podium on his first PiranMOTO DD event!

We'll be taking a break in our regular Friday schedule as the next falls right on christmas day. Regular Friday events will be resumed in January, and there will possibly be a one-off event over christmas too - keep your eyes open!

*Join us next year, Friday 1st January 20:00UTC, for more!*

PiranMOTO_Sweep - Local insim for building arcs of LYT objects
Racon
S3 licensed
Panel:

Example:

Sweep takes a group of up to 30 objects and places copies
rotated around a pivot point, step by step, in order to
make an arc with as much smoothness as is possible.

---------------

Pivot: select an object to act as the pivot point, then
click 'SET' on the pivot line. The object
coordinates will now be shown. Pivot coordinates
can be replaced at any time, and will be
retained if the pivot object is deleted.

Objects: select a group of objects to replicate, then
click 'SET' on the objects line. A count of the
objects will now be shown. Selected objects can
be replaced at any time, and will be retained if
the layout objects are deleted.

Step: set the size (amount of rotation) of each step
in the sweep. Shown as degrees, and as LYT
heading in brackets. Use +/- to
increase/decrease by 1, and ++/-- by 10.

Sweep: place the next step of the sweep with the
'PLACE' button. The sweep number displayed will
increment with each placement, and can be
manually adjusted or reset uing the
-/+/RESET buttons below it. The direction of
the sweep can be toggled with the 'CW'/'CCW'
button.

Reset All: clears pivot and selected objects, resets
step to 1, sweep to 1, and direction to
clockwise.

---------------

Notes:
Objects that have already been placed (overlapping a
complete circle, for instance) will be silently ignored.

If the original sweep objects have been deleted, they can
be recreated precisely by placing once with the sweep number
set to 0.

If you need to hide the panel, use shift-B to hide all insim
buttons. The top right corner button will remain visible,
and the panel can be reopened by clicking it.

Step and sweep can be changed during the sweep, but it is
important to note how they interact: each placement is
calculated from the orginal objects (in order to avoid
accumulating rounding errors), and so are rotated by the
amount shown by the step number multiplied by the sweep
number. Changing one value mid-sweep will require changing
the other to compensate, in order to continue the sweep from
the same place. Another way to cope with this scenario is to
replace the original objects with the last placed objects,
and resetting the sweep number - this will induce some
rounding error, but it will usually be an insignificant
amount.

(This program requires Visual C++Redistributable 2015 - if you don't have it installed, it is available here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-u ... oad/details.aspx?id=48145)

Nice ideas. I've been tinkering with videos and screenies recently, and it's an almighty pain to turn off all the things I use when racing - mirrors, gauges, split times, mini-map, clock/FPS etc.

I don't want these things being off to be saved as my settings, so I use a second LFS instance to do this and make sure it is closed before my main 'racing instance' is closed, then close and reopen the main instance - if I mess that up, then I've got to undo all the changes too.

I'd love a 'capture mode' with a hotkey that would just toggle every overlay - nothing on screen but the action.
Edit: shift-F

Also, if we're tinkering with that kind of thing, could it be made optional for a race restart to turn my chat history off? It's minor annoyance sure, but I have crashed whilst preoccupied trying to find the 'H' key many times more than I have crashed because something was hidden by text.

This week, the podium claimed an impressive 20 out of 21 race wins between them!

Congratulations to RD2 on his return to the top step of the podium after 4 weeks away, propelled by winning more races than the rest of the field combined!

2nd place goes to MRc's TimDC, close behind in both points and race wins.

3rd place goes to OK's Rauno for the 2nd week in a row.

I've not used OBH with non-movable objects in all my insim adventures, but if they were removed I imagine I could achieve the same results with some strategically-placed movables and/or co-ords from an MCI.
