I notice that a setup file is small enough to fit into an InSim packet with a header for UCID, would it be possible to send and receive them through InSim?
InSims could then send setups to players on-demand, and if players can send them too, the InSims could do things like checking wing setting limits*, and mixing track-specific gearboxes to a preferred setup.
Somebody could make an interactive setup bot, even - somebody who doesn't know how to do setups could send it their set, click a button that says 'too oversteery', and get back a copy that has had the front/rear stiffness balance tweaked a little and try it out.
I thought that using the host entry in the connection list (ie, give it the same s/ss buttons as players) would make giving your setup voluntary, so should side-step the whole setup-spying issue?
*I did a league once that required a minimum wing setting, it was a pain for all involved to verify it manually
Just to clarify, it's only PiranMOTODestructionDerby where you may crash with competitors - other PiranMOTO servers follow the Rules of Clean Racing.
The Friday night DDs are Jon's nights (I don't want to steal his credit ) and it's always 20:00 UK time, so that works out to be 19:00 UTC in the summer and 20:00 UTC in the winter.
PiranMOTO Trial of Champions #1 - the Trial of the Crossover - Review
Wow! What an event! A good showing of drivers from outside the DD world adding to several DD champions meant for absolute chaos on-track right from the off, and a battle that went down to the wire!
With thanks to Simbroadcasts for an excellent stream, and Jonathan Siddle for the awesome commentary! Watch the full Simbroadcasts stream here: https://youtu.be/UR9p62NonNw?t=294
** Join us for more, every Friday on PiranMOTODestructionDerby (19:00 UTC summer, 20:00 UTC winter) **
A record 10th win for VM's **Dlocky**, with 158 points and 8 wins. Congratulations!
2nd place goes to PM's own **Jam 616**, 23 points behind with 135 and 3 wins.
3rd place goes to **Flying ET**, a single point behind with 134 and 4 wins.
A special mention for A&B's **Roberson** who won his first race, defending well in the mini!

In the season standings, there's no change in position for VM's **Dlocky** and **Flying ET** in 1st and 2nd respectively, but PM's own **Jam 616** has snuck into 3rd place ahead of **J De Cnodder** by a single point.
I was 28 after Davey Allison for years, but I got fed up with clashes. I was wearing an Iron Maiden Number of the Beast skin when I finally gave up on 28, but obviously 666 would have been even worse for clashes. I knew of a theory that 616 was the 'real' number, not 666, and I figured it was an obscure enough theory that it wouldn't lead to clashes.
A relatively low turnout worked to our advantage this week, with excellent racing and hard but good-natured fighting. Sometimes this is a little hard to see through the chaos of high-numbers and over-enthusiastic first-timers, but it is always there in the core and it was nice to see it naked
Dlocky didn't have it all his own way this week - we went down to the last race, with the entire podium all spanning less points than are available for a win! Did we stop him?...
Yet more records for VM's **Dlocky** as he becomes the most successful driver in PiranMOTO Open DD history with a record 9th event win, a record 6th in a row, with 170 points and 5 wins. Congratulations!
2nd place goes to **Flying ET**, just 7 points behind with 163 and 3 wins - edging ever-closer to the inevitable win.
3rd place goes to PM's own **Jam 616**, a single point behind with 162 and 4 wins.
A special mention for MRc's **Matteoszop** who joined with 4 races left to go... and won 3 of them in a row!

In the season standings, there's no change in position with VM's **Dlocky** leading **Flying ET** by 18 points, who in turn leads RTT's **J De Cnodder** by 9 points.
This week's event was dedicated to the memory of CK, with many tribute skins and name colours making a fine sight, and all drivers sharing a minute's horn on the green light of the first race before setting off. This one was for you, CK.
It's a new record of 5 wins in a row for VM's **Dlocky** as he wins his record-equalling 8th DD event with 8 wins and 157 points! Congratulations again!
2nd place is MRc's **TimDC** returning temporarily to honour CK, claiming 140 points and 5 wins for him.
3rd place goes to VM's **Dan190NL** with 126 points, claiming a podium on his first full event. It looks like the VM domination is set to continue!
A special mention for Ivanov, missing the podium on his first event by just 2 points.

In the season standings, there's no change in position with VM's **Dlocky** leading **Flying ET** by 17 points, who in turn leads RTT's **J De Cnodder** by 7 points.
Our lowest turnout for a while, but there was still plenty of action with multiple death-alley style tracks. This week saw Dlocky's teammates Dan and Khaos join (as if he needs the help!) later on, and the VM train was on tour for the latter half of the evening - claiming 3 podium lockouts in the process.
It's a record-equalling 4 event wins in a row for VM's **Dlocky**, gained with a record-equalling 194 points and a record-equalling 12 wins - again winning the event even before the final round with a margin of 39! Is there any stopping him now?
2nd place this week is **Flying ET**, with 155 points and 3 wins.
3rd place goes to PM's own **Jon 606** with 111 points.

In the season standings, VM's **Dlocky** and the independent **Flying ET** hold 1st and 2nd place respectively, as RTT's **J De Cnodder** overtakes MRc's **TimDC** into 3rd.
