Normal server: Race anything, anytime, reasonably clean race.

STCC server: Work up ranks, anytime, always get c**ts use you as barriers and spin you on purpose JUST to get a place...

Dont get me wrong, its alright to race in when its a clean race, but when their are tossers on, its very frustrating. (mainly because the people taking you out get the points you should of got)

Hmmm. I have a problem similar to this, and I own the same graphics card. (x800) But it's not due to overheating or faulty hardware.

When I go to run fullscreen games, instant reboot, windowed games however arent a problem. (After a reboot, the games play fine in fullscreen) But, it doesn't seem to do it as much now I re-installed .Net 2.0. Never happened before, so I guess its the new drivers.

In your case, I would suspect its the same. But if I find anything else, i'll post.

And why, well this is a 3D section on a motorsport games' forum... I thought there would be someone who can help.

Also, a game is a game. If I can show an employer / uni / whatever that i've had atleast some previous experience (professional or not) in putting 3D objects into a game, i'm pretty sure they would think a bit more of me.

Not LFS, obviously, but for either rFactor or Racer.

I've been thinking recently that whats the point of me making a nice 3D car and just leaving it in My Documents, only for me to re-format and lose it or it just sit there and I stick a render up on a forum. Also, sticking it in a game would give me some form experience with what I have to do to a model and prep it to be put in game. Plus I wouldn't mind driving my own creation one day. :P Also will look good for job/uni interviews.

But yeah, i've had a look and not found much on the process. I know a rough polly limit for the model, texture's arent a problem, but after that i'm lost. Like, exporting it as a certain file, using something else to get it in game... etc, i'm just stuck. lol.

But yeah, any help or links will be very, very aprishiated. And for some reason, RSC wont work for me. :S

Nope. That don't appear on any of the executables. Working ones or not...

This is such a mofo, i've gone thorugh everything and nothing seams out of place or set wrong.

Countless re-boots haven't fixed it. Also, the file's that dont run, don't show their icon. :/

It's like, MTA has a red quare with 8-Ball on it, but the MTAClient.exe (the main executable) hasn't got it. Also, all the other executables that don't run, dont have icons neither.

We've checked his account and its definatly not a limted account. Also compared it to the computer im on and theirs nothing different. (and yeah, its not a read-only file and stuff like that)

One thing we haven't tried is making a new Admin account and logging into that and see if the file will run there. But still, we dont want another account, we want it to work on this one.

Could Compaq have done something? He said the laptop in question has never been formatted... So could a default Compaq program or something be stopping these random files?

No, his account is the only account on the comp and it's an Admin account.

Right, i'm around my friends and were trying to play MTA:VC together, but on his comp (a compaq laptop) wont let him run the exe file. BUT, he said to me its happened manny times before and its very annoying.



He's on XP pro if that helps and its in the admin account.

This morning I was running my own server (trying to improve my PB's) and as I came around the last corner of BL1 (after the bridge) about 3 laps in, it froze for a second and then sputtered every second or so.

Running Patch V5 with:
1) AMD Athlon 64 3400+
2) Ati RADEON x800 GTO
3) Catalyst (not sure what version, I formatted last night so their fresh from ati.com)

I still stand by what i've said for years and that the PS3 will flop, and probably go down the downgrader and custom firmware route the PSP has...

If i remeber corrctly, the parts to the side of your view becomes blurry (much like it would if you stare straight ahead while on the road) but infront is clear / slightly blurry up ahead.

But, replays = Yes from me.

That's one thing that's bothered me about auto transmission in game since, ever.

(not the lack of PNDR12) but kickdown. Before lfs, i played GTR alot and used auto, yet when low in a gear, if you wanted the lower gear you had to physicaly brake to get it, losing time. But, then again, in racing games no-ones cruising around and then suddenly floors it, its alwasy floored.
