I find the complete opposite, I have those problems with the UFR, but I am using mouse!

I think it was a connection thing. Finally got it to load in I.E. and 10 mins later it worked in FireFox but that was 2 hours I couldn't access.

I think my route through the internet to your servers was clogged as every other website i tried worked fine

(refreshing and restarting my pc did not help, nor clearing cookies)

I know I said this last week - the main LFS site isn't loading, maybe Fiendi is updating it, not sure.

Anyway, just checking it to make sure race 5 is still Go at 2000 GMT

Well we could have red shells like in Mario Kart, that way I can knock other racers out!

Is the site down? Or have I been blocked, I've tried using several of my Proxy connections so I doubt I have been blocked, but you never know how much C.Modoff can afford to bribe people with!

I'm gonna drive slower than normal, conserving the tyres and not do a pit stop. Will hopefully gain the lost 15 seconds when everyone else pits.

Terrible timing. At least we can all communicate here. The temporary site isn't working either at moment but will try in the morning.

Well I'll go with whatever the OLFSL team decide. I can see that it will be too much work for them to do 50 laps. It's just I was happy to do all 50 if they were. If not then no worries from me. I just didn't want to be one of the ones too scared to race for two hours that's all. I'm not moaning if the staff want to cut the laps, that's their perogative. All my support goes to the staff I know they work hard, with little reward.

Like I said previously I was willing to pay a fee to join the season to help with costs etc, so I'm not the sort not willing to do my support for the cause.

But yeah when my internet connection in raised to 8Meg I'll be happy to host a race.

My idea wouldn't be ideal. But neither is letting people vote about the number of laps, next it will be that there are two many events at Aston. There are not enough GTR races. I only want to do three laps next week because I'm a bit tired and the FX0 will use too much fuel, cant we switch it to the UF1. My Mother wont let me stay out on halloween and rob people. We should stick to the race calander and that's that!

I'm up for all 50 myself - I know it's long but what's wrong with one long race in the season? I'm not a brilliant racer on LFS yet but I'm up for a challenge or too.

Anyway I had an idea, instead of 6 pools based on hotlaps, why not (for this race only) have pools based on how many laps?

So lets say Six pools again for example.

Pool 1 = 50 laps.
Pool 2 = 40.
Pool 3 = 30.
Pool 4 = 25.
Pool 5 = 20.

The Points could be awarded in the same fashion, higer pools scroing more than lower pools.

Any other suggestions for the leagues which don't fit into the categoires in the other threads?

• I'm hoping for quite a few races this time, enough for example, that if you have one bad race (or even miss it due to illness say) that you aren't out of the championship. I know each race is vital, but the fewer there are the harder it is and more likely that only the top three guys (or girls) will win.
  

• I think customary pit stops always throw in a welcome random element to races, and there should be one in each race (apart from maybe a short sprint race).
  

• I don't know about everyone else, but I like the idea of a 10 minute Quali before the race, the hotlaps gives the pros more chance to be perfect and start at the front, qual's give more random outcomes.
  

Anyway not slagging off the way things are, just my opinions. Would like to hear everyones.

I know what you mean, I don't mean to put off racers with not much experience etc. Just there are some bully racers who are about and also those who would want to join just to wreck peoples races for a laugh, purposely driving badly etc. They wouldn't bother if it cost them money, the'd find a free league to mess about in.

Obviously I don't want to spend money, I'm not rich but sometimes it's worth it. Imagine going into bar, if you want to stay in the free area with all the casuals who get a bit drunk, shout a bit too much start fights then you can, or you could pay a little and be part of a more exclusive but welcoming private area for people commited to the sport.

Just an idea though!

I was wondering about an entrance fee for the races/season. Not an expensive one, but one that would pay for the servers etc and if there's any left over maybe a prize or two?
