Ok, I've completed watching this new your project, Maik. Pretty nice project you brought to us
Shortly I will give my few cents, sayin' pros and cons of this project.
Pro:
1) Good colors
2) Nice camerawork, especially at ~0:38, ~2:09, approximately. The last one gives an uplifting expression which is really great.
3) Nice pick of music. Well, neo-classic tune works great in any case, pretty much.
4) Good mix of real time and slow mo action.
Con:
1) Video stutter. It's the worst problem that you deal with, Maik, and this problem is eternal. All your videos are laggy, Maik. I don't know what is the real problem. Maybe you should start using other codec in video editing or something? I've worked a bit with Adobe Premiere, as you do basically, and I noticed that Adobe Premiere doesn't render as smoothly as Sony Vegas, for an example. I mean, when it's real time action, it's as half as bad, but when you bring slow mo in to the action, it's hard to watch. Smoothness is all you need, especially for slow mo part, as I said.
2) Film burn effect. It's completely over-used, Maik. It worked perfectly at the very begining where it was used as a transition to the next scene. It was brilliant, but to put film burn on, basically, all entire video was not a good idea. It totally distracts and annoys. I feel like "Omg, film burn, get off the screen! I can't see the action that you hide". So yeah, my point it - use film burn as a transition, in other case it doesn't work, just annoys. I think the use of film burn effect is just for transition purpose.
It's pity you are no longer interested in covering lfs action. We still don't see your Core project that was announced to be released soon after trailer came out. Good thing that there is another platform on which you can work on and still apply your skills and make new projects.
