Quote from cargame.nl :and testing Rockingham for 5 years..

Ouch. Everyone who states LFS is dead is right. It's just ridiculous that 5 years have already passed by and NO SINGLE UPDATE. What we did pay for? For an suspicious update report which gives no clue, no promise and is pointless, basically. Developers went out of motivation and that's it, 'cos otherwise it's hardly explainable how on Earth we are still waiting for S3? They promised a new content back in 2008, and after an announcement, suddenly "no, we have some issues, let's wait until it's sorted out', and we are waiting for 5 years already. Kunos in a meantime managed to make a new sim with highest technology, best physics and best graphics. Does Kunos Studio consist of thousands employees? No. A bunch of dedicated guys, as, I thought, Scavier are.

Quote from AlienT. :seniecka, that is such a positive comment.

I wish that I had some musical talent installed but I really don't have any at all, unfortunate as it would be very cool to be gifted in that department. Although to be fair I did once used to play 'Mull of Kintyre' on an electronic music calculator dating at about 1981. I still remember the keys to that song. 124666545421246.

Happy to see we have the same opinion about mentioned piece of music. I would like to hear you playing as well, as I found out you've been playing in the past. There is a plenty of even free music softwares, where you just download, turn it on and play elementary with your laptop's or desktop's keyboard.

Quote from Myffe :Have been learning to use FL Studio actively for about a year(?) or so now. I'm very new to producing music yet so my pieces are nothing special but I'm learning new things all the time.

And since I'm absolutely obsessed about Drum and Bass, my best songs (so far) are from that genre

In my very subjective opinion, you are good at change, speaking of rhythm changes, although, I noticed you do struggle finding new melody elements, new patters, or extending existing ones futher on. It's like three notes are being played with the same manner. It becomes a bit boring. I think you should put an extra note in melody, to make like 3-4-3 or even other order of notes (your imagination and improvisation is welcome) or something else. The sound quality itself is good.

Messing around with really tight noise gates and compression to get that modern prog-metal/djent sound.

Although for some reason, the crash cymbal seems to ring out for way too long and it's made this weird whistling undertone for some reason.

I like that guitar tone. Sounds sexy.

Ne pati geriausia vieta ieškot paramos, tuo labiau kiek kvaila imti ir primygtinai prašyti, jog balsuotų ir balsuotų all over again. Jei pabalsavo kartą, tai jau pabalsavo. Niekas į rinkimus neeina balsuot N kartų Sėkmės, anyways.

Scavier guys should take an example of Kunos Simulazioni, if Kunos announce that something is comin' up and promises that - they do that. They are not a big company either, but somehow made an amazing sim with awesome graphics and physics in pretty short time. Kudos to them. Sleepy Scavier guys are sleepy.

I am happy to see people lovin' good old rock music. Currently I am learning to play "Horizons" from Foxtrot (1972), the fourth album of Genesis. It's a guitar piece, written by Steve Hackett. Pretty complex composition, influenced by Johann Sebastian Bach, as I found out.

Happy to see a new project that is made seriously, as it's pretty exotic thing nowadays. So, firstly, I congratulate author on that. I don't have anything much to say. 2 minutes of pure racing with a very short lovely intro and nice music (maybe a bit dramatic, but well, it's a basic rock, so, as we all know, rock fits pretty well to racing coverage). I want to congratulate author on camerawork. Camera angles are picked wisely. A variety of camera angles really gives some nice colors to whole project. Makes it look more live. I liked it.

A very basic piano piece i wrote when I couldn't sleep

Omg. This is so beautiful. You have such a talent :jawdrop: Is this really written by you? Just wow. I am totally amazed and charmed. Even if you say, it's a basic piano piece, it's sounds very uplifting and beautiful. The simple piece of music can sound more beautiful than complex piece of music if it has some niuances in it that amazes you. In this your short piece of music, I found it has a very charming melody that is brilliant. Carry on! Really looking forward to your next piece of music. I think you have a very good taste in music.

Ok, I've completed watching this new your project, Maik. Pretty nice project you brought to us Shortly I will give my few cents, sayin' pros and cons of this project.

Pro:

1) Good colors
2) Nice camerawork, especially at ~0:38, ~2:09, approximately. The last one gives an uplifting expression which is really great.
3) Nice pick of music. Well, neo-classic tune works great in any case, pretty much.
4) Good mix of real time and slow mo action.

Con:

1) Video stutter. It's the worst problem that you deal with, Maik, and this problem is eternal. All your videos are laggy, Maik. I don't know what is the real problem. Maybe you should start using other codec in video editing or something? I've worked a bit with Adobe Premiere, as you do basically, and I noticed that Adobe Premiere doesn't render as smoothly as Sony Vegas, for an example. I mean, when it's real time action, it's as half as bad, but when you bring slow mo in to the action, it's hard to watch. Smoothness is all you need, especially for slow mo part, as I said.
2) Film burn effect. It's completely over-used, Maik. It worked perfectly at the very begining where it was used as a transition to the next scene. It was brilliant, but to put film burn on, basically, all entire video was not a good idea. It totally distracts and annoys. I feel like "Omg, film burn, get off the screen! I can't see the action that you hide". So yeah, my point it - use film burn as a transition, in other case it doesn't work, just annoys. I think the use of film burn effect is just for transition purpose.

It's pity you are no longer interested in covering lfs action. We still don't see your Core project that was announced to be released soon after trailer came out. Good thing that there is another platform on which you can work on and still apply your skills and make new projects.

Quote from CrAZySkyPimp :Are you seriously trying to tell me you have a point in that question? Let me ask you this smartass, WHY do YOU like the music you listen to?

If you apathetical towards my question it's your problem, maybe? Yes, I am keen to get an answer, 'cos that music is not even used anymore these days and suddenly arabs do use that.
Of course, I can tell WHY I DO like my music, but this time I won't. It's not about me, it's about that guy. Your counter attack with the same question, addressed to me won't work, Creizi Pymp.

Where you guys come from? I mean.. Are you multiplying over the time? The same concept of video, the same music, the same VOB in the game. What the hell? I think it's one of muslim out there who is, of course, rich and buys thousands of s2 copies just to fool us lettin' us think 'oh, nice, we have another arabian-mega video maker'.

For the record, why do you like 90's dance music? I am very curious about that. Judging on arabian videos on this forum, all of you like this genre of music. It's likely to become a sort of stereotype.

I posted it once. It's a fair point that cars shouldn't go through walls anyway. It's not like I can't drive, but as much as I love LFS as a racing sim, it could do more in the collision department, which is still pretty bad even after they patched it.

What do you expect? Many years have already passed after S3 content announcement and no major updates. Don't expect such errors to be solved. It's 'too serious' for developers.
