We don't live that close, and I never been to her home. So I might call her..
I asked her last week, but she didn't know if she was allowed by her parents (because she already went out last night). And I just have a feeling she's using it as an excuse for not going, although when it has to do with school stuff she always has to be home at a certain time, so it's believable.

One comes from the battery (+), the earth (in my case) just goes from the amp, directly to a sanded down screw under my rear seats. Shortest possible earth is always the best, mine is only few centimeters.
