Quote from Avraham Vandezwin :THANK YOU Thumbs up. I understand now Smile (I drive with the clutch pedal with basic G25/G27 hardware).

Am I to understand that this is some kind of...cheating? Or not ? Shy

Edit: clarification
I don't mention some laps specifically. I often drive the FZR. So I looked at some of the FZR WRs. The shorter tracks, but others too. I noticed that the accelerator pedal was released when decelerating and not when upshifting. I haven't checked all of the WRs but I imagine everyone does the same thing with all cars. It's just weird.

No lift upshifting is an easy way to gain a bit of time (in an H pattern) and probably most if not all WRs do that. Hurts the clutch so not widely used in racing (at least not in all upshifts) but considering anyone can use it, I wouldn't call it cheating. Especially that you can do it in real life as well, though that's a bit more expensive there Smile

Quote from nikopdr :On another offtopic note, maybe LFS could have a sequential gearbox type that has throttle blip on downshifts.

As a side note - if the car in question has "engine brake reduction" option and it is set to a high number, it will act as a throttle blip for you on downshifts Smile

Would it be possible to have a small counter of how many boosters were used during the race up above near the track status? Would help keeping track how many were used. Similar style to qualification counter available to us.

Really sad that you flipped, I even warned admins about the "curbs" and it was noted... I hope you get to use the powerup again because this was really the layout's fault.

Just to clarify the boost rule - I must use the boost exactly 3 times during the race, no more, no less. If the race is declared WET, the min 3 requirement is no longer in place (can be used 0, 1, 2 times) but max 3 is still there, right?

Seeing trends in the hall of fame, we have 4 years (including this year) of Finland domination ahead of us.

I liked this one Tilt
"- fixed start time of training lessons which were always at midnight on 1 January 1601"

It's always nice when developers are sharing funny "bloopers" instead of going "fixed an incorrect date"

I am not fully sure if I fully understood the issue but it seems that you are not giving it enough throttle when the clutch starts to bite? I agree that in real life at least the cars I have driven most of the time have a more forgiving clutch. It feels as if LFS engines have very low inertia when it comes to starting to drive.

When I want to start driving in LFS with reasonable real life revs (at or below 2kRPM), at first I give very little throttle to raise the revs and when the clutch starts to bite, I give it quite a bit more throttle, like 40% while at the same time releasing the clutch more aggresively.

You can try simulating the issue in single player and saving a replay for us. To save a replay, simply press "2".
